I do the same thing. I try to take a doe or two in the first couple weeks of October to get meat in the freezer so I can relax and just hunt the remaining of season. I had a rough season last year and didn't get anything, not even a doe. It's been rough having to buy and eat store bought meat.
Looks like I’m finally going to a 3-d shoot Sunday. Pretty pumped haven’t done one in years. Loving my new lift too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heck yeah! 3-d shoots are a blast. Good luck and shoot straight, keep enjoying that new lift... I'm enjoying my new to me v3 27
Opening day for me here tomorrow. Also got this Pic today. Good luck team! Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I shot fantastic this weekend probably the best I have ever shot at a 3-d shoot. I tell ya I hope they figured out the limb issues on this lift I have never shot a bow this well. The only thing that’s the same from last year is the nockturnals on the back of my arrows but I’m more confident in my shooting then I have been in years. 3 arrows from 60 with my new 150 grain fixed blade broad head on one arrow and 2 field points on the others. Come on October.
We had our annual archery shoot this weekend, took it home for the second straight year. It's always a good time and the shooting gets better and better every year. Long two week wait now for the opener here in MI... Hopefully some cooler weather is on the way.
Damn near 90 down here in missouri this week. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I've got to get my bow paper tuned and new sights sighted in this week. I just got a set of new sights and rest for this V3. I'm running a little late this year on getting everything finalized before season starts.
Not impressed at all My poor blind has seen better days! Damn thing is probably full of wasps and spiders... think I'll just burn it and buy another one.
It's been out for two years now so they should be used to it lol. I am going to try and move it back about 10-15 yards. Now that I am back to using a compound instead of the recurve, I don't need to be so close to them... it don't look it in the picture but it's only about 10 yards from where he is to my blind. I looked inside it the other day, it looks like someone went in there and decorated it for Halloween with all the spider webs that's in it... yuck!!!
Week and a half and I will finally be in a tree. Still getting a few daylight pictures of a nice 8 and 10 by one of my stands, if they keep it up for the next week and a half, it won't be much longer than that so we will see. Cameras have definitely shown some seasonal changes in movement so I'm hoping these two are still content when next weekend comes.
