This 8pt in Illinois is really catching my eye. He’s got to be around that 150” area. Great mass and tine length.

Last night I ended up walking the second property I got the other day. I bumped what is probably the biggest Michigan buck I’ve seen, my best guess is somewhere in the low 60s. Thera is sign everywhere which I figured there would be since I know it’s a real high deer density area.

The one unfortunate thing is access to one spot I feel I really need a stand. I’m going to try to do some chopping in there this year if the land owner allows it, if I can’t I’m going to knock on the neighbors door to see if I can access from the west from their property which will cut off about 100 yards and trampling through really good bedding. Red lines are what I’m hoping to be able to chop and for easier access/change deer movement and the yellow line is where I’m hoping I can get permission to access the 1 stand. IMG_0473.jpeg

That farm looks nice! Hopefully you can get permission from the neighbor for easy entry.

Everyone is checked in and I sent LC a message. I'm flying out tomorrow morning to Oklahoma for a quick weekend hog hunt with a buddy of mine that is an outfitter. I'll post pics and update when I can. Taking my son also which he is super pumped for.

Also, if anyone has any ideas for an avatar that would be great. I have zero artistic ability... LOL

Arkansas velvet hunt is open this weekend. I'm working on Saturday, but I'll be out Sunday morning. I don't have any shooters spotted yet. I've seen some really nice bucks in the past using this area. I have a tripod stand tucked in some cedars where the red mark is located. The hayfield to the west has yet to be cut, offering good cover. [IMG]

Where in Oklahoma? I hunt a lot in NE Oklahoma, around Colcord and Kansas, OK.

Today is the very first opportunity I've had to deer hunt on my birthday. What a beautiful morning! Light breeze with a cool crisp 50°. I'm just mainly observing this morning. I'll hunt in the timber this afternoon. [IMG][IMG]

Not much luck this morning. I only saw a basket rack 6 pt. I've switched stands for the afternoon hunt. I'm setting in the edge of the timber near a couple of well-used trails. I have killed numerous deer from this stand. Waiting for a big boy to stroll by.[IMG][IMG]

Finally got some much needed rain over the weekend. Plots needed it…. Still have a few more to put in.

I really enjoyed my time in the stand yesterday. The early buck season ends this evening, but I'm back to work this afternoon. I plan to move a stand and check cameras in Oklahoma on Sunday. Arkansas archery season opens on September 28, which will next 2 day weekend. Oklahoma starts on October 1.

Hey guys forgot to give you a heads up but I’m in Mexico for work. Got here Saturday night and I don’t come home until Sunday so I’ll be pretty quiet on here until then. If anyone is hunting have fun and shoot straight!

We have a storage field in Pecatonica. One of only a couple of our facilities I haven’t had the opportunity to visit. Have worked in Rockford and Freeport though. A little familiar with the area.

If that's the NiCor storage fields I'm only a mile from there.

Anyone good at graphics that could work on an avatar? I'm definitely not that person! October 1st opening here, farmers have started on the beans. Been really dry, need some rain on my plots! Got some stand work to finish up and put in some blinds and I'll be ready.

This buck on the Illinois lease has been hitting multiple cams daily. Pretty sure I know where he is bedding. There is a big pond to the north that has a pretty thick slope facing SW. Same area my buck came out last year that I shot.
