Any other year and I'd probably be hunting with one already but with the all new cam system coming out they really kept it under wraps until today. I literally didn't see photos or specs on the bow for the first time until about a week or so ago. In years past I've had a bow in my hands to shoot at least 2-3 weeks before they're released.

In any case it will be a few weeks before I get mine and really get to play with it. Most likely some time around Thanksgiving, which honestly is fine with me because my Chill is dialed in right now and the thought of changing bows mid-rut isn't very appealing. I'm confident in my setup and plan on killing something with it before the HTR rolls in.

I'm off this Friday and Monday of next week so I plan on spending 4 days straight in a tree at our lease. If I don't have an opportunity to shoot something you may find me hanging from my harness on Monday night. :D

HAHA no doubt, well good luck man!!! Get it done! I'm hopping this upcoming weekend is the time for me also! Looking forward to a good review on the bow form ya and actually getting to shoot it for myself. But I honestly may hold out till 2016 when they add to it and improve on it. I'm like you right now...my Heli-m is spot on why change? Plus I just still LOVE my draw cycle, back wall, and how solid she is! We'll see once I shoot one though lol

well as some of you got a text from me this afternoon. Absolutely sucked getting 15' from my stand at 3pm and kicking up 2 deer on the other side of my stand. No doubt they were on their way to cross the fence under my stand. I backed out went to another stand & saw a deer at 5:20 crossing the field about 100 yds away. Oh the irony of it all. I've been going to that stand for 5 days at 2:30 haven't seen a darn thing till today when I'm not in the stand!

Friday I'll sitting all day. Bring it on ladies, bring it on!

It's gun season starting tomorrow so I will be doing that back home. I have mixed feelings if I want to shoot one with my gun or not:/ but a big one will die if he walks by

oh wow, sorry to hear! LOL Gun season here starts the 15th, but I haven't picked up a gun in years...I bow hunt the whole season for the most part. Maybe I'll grab a rifle out of the gun safe for opening day...thats about it.

I'm not quite that dedicated at this point in my life, plus my bow stands would be wrecking the guys that I gun hunt with. I'd be happy I guess if a shoot a big buck with anything

I've been hitting it hard everyday. Been seeing deer, but I haven't been seeing any shooters. My wife on the other hand, she had two shooters in range today and couldn't get a shot at either one. I know tht feeling. I'll be at it again all day tomorrow.

finally actually seen a deer from my stand. I had an 8 ptr come at 1:45 this afternoon. He came in at 40 yds and stood behind a tree. Caught me sitting down and bow in the hanger. So I slowly got my bow and stood up. I could still see him behind the bush and I looked away getting my bow and then like a ghost he was gone. I thought were the heck did he go. I figured he walked down into the ravine. I start using a doe can bleat call and a few grunts. Nothing, not a sign. I was like where the hell did he go. Then about 20 minutes later I see his tail flick about 50 yds away, just standing there in the grass watchin me I'm sure. Not a care in the world. He just starts slowly walking away. I tried grunting at him. Couple of bleats. Nothing. Just scratched himself and kept on walkin. Man, I was like dude your supposed to be in the rut, and answer my call. So that's it for me till Monday. I'll go out Monday afternoon and see how it goes. The weather is supposed to be really dropping in temps next week.
How's everyone else doing? Good luck to everyone.

Got into the stand a little late...soon as I got settled deer started coming through. Had a 4 pt come back and forth chasing does 3 times already and I grunted him to 15 yards. Couple spikes too. Not a bad start to the day. Hopping the big boy comes through though!

Sat last night and saw the doe I wounded opening day... Cannot believe she survived! Also saw a spike and two 2 1/2's.
Didn't see anything this morning but I got a picture of a big framed deer in the back corner of the picture, so maybe, just MAYBE there is actually a shooter around

After a terrible, discouraging day, I got a glimmer of hope. My neighbor called me tonight and said he saw a dandy buck cross onto our land. Nice big main frame 4 point side on the right, and a jacked up 3 point side on the left. Figured the brow was 6-8 inches and wouldn't doubt the g2 was 13. I know EXACTLY where I am sitting tomorrow

Had a 130" 8 pointer at 35 yards this morning before the wind swirled and he left. I didn't see any shooters this evening, but my wife saw a lot of action on another field. Also saw a giant 10 pointer cross the road as we left, so the big boys are out and about. I'll be at it again tomorrow. Good luck guys.

well the word is that the weather is turn into complete crap with a winter storm approaching us on Monday with possible 6" on the ground. Now I'm scrambling to find a replacement plow truck since my other one is so badly rusted out that everything keeps failing on it. I fixed a leaky fuel line yesterday and then the brake line blew. I"m done with it!
    Thanks for letting me vent.
Looks like Monday is the only I'll get out this week. Too busy workin otherwise.

Checked the scoreboard and noticed you haven't suited it yet. Did you get a tape on him yet?
