I went out again tonight, tried a new spot on the public land and loved it, only saw one cause it was soo windy but it was a great spot. Fawn ran 4 yards from my tree and it's in a wooded draw

I had planned on hunting this morning, but I forgot my dog has an appointment at the vet. I'll be in the tree this evening as long as it isn't pouring down rain and storming.

This weekend is the WI youth hunt. I will be hunting Saturday and Sunday. I will most likely bring my bow and gun with to the stand so if a doe walks by I can put a arrow in her

Good luck out West Fergie! I "may" make it out for a Saturday afternoon hunt but I'm not sure yet. I may just stick close to home and keep the wife happy this weekend. It will be a last minute decision.

Youth hunt this weekend so don't forget your orange!

Just take her hunting with you! She'll love it. All that quality time spent together.

Easier said than done with two little kids at home. I'm trying to train my dog to watch them when we're gone but it's not going so well. She's not great at changing diapers quite yet.

Clearly you haven't put much time in training the dog, my dog cooks for me and does my laundry!

Justin, I loved how you did the segment on last episode of BHOD of how you pack in and out of the woods with your camera gear. I pack in and out very similar to you. I have the older Blacks Creek/Mathews Fanny Pack I see you have one that might be a little bigger, which is it that you have and how big is it? I would like to fit just a little more into the actual pack and I was looking at the newer Blacks Creek fanny's, the 800ci Plan Pack and the 1200ci Cure Pack.

Heres how I Pack in and out, disregard the Scent-Lok duffle and the tripod. All gear inside pack and LW Camera Arm attached to straps on outside of pack.

You had me confused by that too Brian. Give us the heads up on that kind of stuff! LOL Did Fitz make the change for you so when you enter your deer he will know it is you? Don't want to have any confusion and him thinking your not on our team.

Well I'm in the tree and its pretty warm. I'm not sure what to expect from where I am this evening. Just hoping to find one of the bucks that disappeared off my cameras a while back. I need some luck, and lots of it!

Because I was informed that Midwest machine sounds like a machinery store which I have no affiliation with and one of my nicknames is moose, so I changed :)

Youth season is Sat, Sun, Mon so your plan won't work Fergie. If you want to go then go. Having to wear some blaze orange isn't going to hurt anything. I've done it before and seen plenty of deer. Nobody will be firearms hunting the lease so it won't affect deer movement at all.
