Man had the heart pumping this morning. Got in my tree stand and waited about 15 mins before giving out a moose cow call. Damn got a response back right away from a bull. Hear him start thrashing towards me crossing the creek 10 mins later I hear a couple of guys up on a hill behind me talking, 20 mins later I hear the bull cross back over the creek into the brush and dint get any more activity after that. Going to try a little earlier tomorrow hopefully Ill see the 6 point my buddy seen the other day while showing another guy the spot nearby for duck. Kinda pissed he showed someone else my spot but this is probably going to be my last year hunting in this province anyway.
Last week at the property in NH....I wasn't there, but they sent me the pic...I'm hopping to hunt out there in 2 weeks.
Well, I'm off work tomorrow and Friday. I can't wait to get back in the stand. I just found out today that I'm gonna for sure have my vacation time off that I wanted. I'll be off Oct. 30-Nov. 10. I'm in such a good mood. And that still leaves me another 20 hours of vacation time that I have to use up by the end of the year. I know my wife will be happy to hear this, since she already got approved for her vacation time for the same time period. I'm really hoping she can knock down a doe tomorrow or Friday and we can focus solely on bucks.
Well no luck yesterday guys. I saw a pile of deer but nothing close enough to shoot or even film. I did see one of our giants, the STD buck, but it was right after shooting light and all my gear was packed up. He's way bigger than he looks in photos and has one of the biggest frames I've ever seen on a wild whitetail. We'll be back on Saturday to give it another go.
No, it was too dark after legal shooting hours. He was in bow range and in my lane at about 30-35 yards. If he was 15 minutes earlier it would've been a different story.
I'm glad you guys have had some excitement. I haven't got anything more than does and a couple spikes on camera in a couple weeks now, and the sits have been slow. Corn comes off next week, so that should help, but in all actuality, I am just looking forward to getting out to SD. 22 1/2 days

Awesome Justin, just to see some deer and have a big buck in range, I'm waiting another two weeks before our season gets started. This sucks
