I'm sitting here going over gear one final time and just watching hunting waiting for the morning. I'm so excited it's not even funny I feel like a little kid! I've been waiting for this day and it's finally here! I'll update when I can in the morning.
go out and practice with it before you go out & be sure to use a safety strap when climbing. whatever you do, stay attached to the tree. Well good news, I'll be back to work next week. Hand wasn't as screwed up as it should've been.
So was a very nice morning but the woods was silent and I felt like all my noise was amplified, I did see one doe but way outta range....oh and it 82degrees fml
At least you got to hunt this morning. That's a lot better than work! I'm getting ready to go eat lunch and then work on my boat a little bit. I'm going to check cameras tomorrow and set up a few mock scrapes and cameras. I would've went today, but I'm trying to let the mud dry a little bit.
Well I've been hunting hard the last two weeks and actually shot a doe opening day but unfortunately hit the shoulder and didn't get good penetration at all and lost the blood trail after about 30-40 yards. Figuring she's still alive. Other than that seen 3 nice 2 1/2 year olds but no shooters. I'll keep checking in as season goes.
I have news that someone on our team will be tracking a doe in the morning! They feel good about the shot just being safe! As for me I saw 20+/- with 3 1.5 year old bucks, got busted by a old doe that wasn't my fault just bad luck... Good night Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
