I had a nice 140's class buck at 10 yards from my stand at 7:00 pm opening day. I wasn't there...... haha

I can't figure these deer out this year. I will get tons of activity on my camera then they go cold. I've had as many as 9 deer in one picture, including both bucks and does, then go two days without a pic. Then I see those deer behind the house. Even had a really nice 140" 4.5 year old sparing with a decent 3.5 year old 100 yards behind the house. With 3 or 4 does just milling around. I've only gotten a change to spend about an hour and a half in the stand and got called back to the house to take care of my sick daughter. Hoping to get out this weekend. The buck I'm after hasn't given me a picture in 3 weeks now. But That 140" seems to be around a lot, so he's on the list now.
Sounds like you have a traveler. I got a couple of bucks like that. I get a picture one day than nothing for a week or so, than boom another pic. Tough to pattern those ones. Just gotta be in the stand when he comes by. Shawn Mann Up Outdoors Team Nine Tines
Yeah, I actually think he has a very small home range and sticks very close to home. I think my place is just on the outer edge of it. In the next month or so, I expect to start seeing more of him.
We have received a ton of rain fall today, Its supposed to slow down and be more scattered tomorrow. I’m hoping to go finish getting everything done and leave it alone for another week! Season is close and I can’t wait to finally be in the woods!
Seen this guy yesterday evening and hit him high. I'm about 99% sure it was just a flesh wound. Good thing it's still early in the season and I've got plenty of time to get it done.

He's on the property that I have a couple others I'm after there. No pictures or sightings of this guy until that evening. I was set up about 50yds from the bedding area.
