I’ll be heading up to the lease this weekend scouting out the acorns and checking cameras. Hopefully the bears have left and the deer moved back in. I did get a few young bucks on camera a couple weeks ago, my bigger deer don’t move in until middle October, normally! Here is a few pics....

Swampstomper checked in. I've been bow hunting off and on since the early 80s. I'll be hunting on 80 acres of land that I own in Southwest Arkansas. Here are a couple of pictures from this month out on my place.
These were my target bucks from last year that I really hope show up again this year. This one is my number 1, I’m sure some of y’all are tired of seeing him come up lol. I’m not sure about him... his neck looks big to me though. Another angle of my #1 I passed him up last year due to what I thought his age was. I regret it ever since, to be honest! I think he’ll be a pretty good one this year and should be of age, I’m thinking 4 1/2 this year?
So who wants to be captain of this vessel? I don’t mind putting my name on the list but if anyone else wants to do it, they’ll definitely get my vote. Also, I’ve been trying to come up with some names to throw out there... some of these may have been used previously and some may sound dumb! They are: 1. Arrows Flight 2. Devil horned Spikes 3. Heart Breakers 4. Missed Connections 5. The Nontypical 9’s
Looks like you guys have some good deer to chase this fall. Our Kentucky cameras have been sorta slow this year, but I’m pretty sure it’s only because we have corn this year. We already have a few new bucks showing up, so early beans must be maturing somewhere near by. Our Alabama leases have some good deer showing up and we’ve already decided on the one Florida buck we are going to chase. Kentucky season comes in in 16 days, so it’s almost time!
I use buckwheat as a summer annual in a few plots every year. It’s a great crop for soil building and the deer will browse it as well.
I'll second the vote for Hunterman927. I like the Missed Connections team name. Couple more suggestions with the team name: 1. Thwack'em and Stack'em 2. Give em the Shaft 3. Doe Droppers
I'm also good w. Hunterman927 as Captain. Another name idea: Nine Tines, a little play on the ol' Principal Rooney from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
I’m thinking about getting some in the ground this weekend. I discovered a 30 yard long X 15 yard wide grassy spot a couple weekends ago. No tree canopy over it at all! I’ll probably throw out some clovers just to be on the safe side.

Here it comes again... I’ve never seen it rain this much in August here. The past two days, we have received around 8 inches and expecting another 2 to 3 inches out of this. Some of y’all are in a drought, we’re getting flooded!
Huntman has my vote and I like 9 tines as well guys Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
