Our regular season closes January 6th and I hope to get out a couple more times. I then have a couple metro units I can hunt until January 31st. Would like to get at least two more does for the freezer.

Hello all and Happy New year!!! I'm still around, just busy as can be. Illinois archery closes Jan 20th so I still hope to put a doe on the ground, for my freezer and for the team. Hunting tomorrow morning, might be my last sit of the year. Fingers crossed. Hope everyone is well.

It feels so good to be back in the woods hunting. It is the last day of Wisconsin's regular archery season. Hopefully with the weather system coming in the deer will come eat early. Sitting next to some oaks where they have been eating lately. Just need a doe to come by.

Didn't see anything today except red squirrels. I still have til the end of the month to hunt the metro units. One good thing is I started out the season with four cameras and I ended up with four...all placed on public land. The two cameras I pulled today had some good bucks even after the gun season.

Well I am officially done for the season deer hunting and I am concentrating on coyotes and land management now. I can't say it was my best season ever but it definitely wasn't my worse either. I passed more bucks this year than I ever have before and I really think it made me a better hunter in the end. It was great meeting all of you and learning from each other. Good Luck Next Season and Happy New Year!
