    Made it out today for about 3 hours. Just saw some squirrels. It was nice being out hunting again after being laid up for a little over a month with symptoms from Lyme's.

    Saw 18 deer tonight. 17 and 18 were bucks. Came by the same stand I shot the deer I didn’t find at last light - was pinned down by a doe to my west when I first saw them (couldn’t stand up) waited until they approached.

    8 pointer walks past.

    Big 10 pointer walks past (he’s to my right) and I’m right hand (bow in hand) I’ve got to stand and turn - he see’s me out of the corner of his eye - looks at me and takes off. Tried to stop him and he wouldn’t stop.

    He was a big one... Running out of opportunities. It’s been a great year - but pretty much an emotional roller coaster.

    So the wolves ended up howling and apparently chasing the coyotes around most of last night. Literally across the road from my house...too close!
