I had a shot at one doe so far and it was Saturday around 35 yards. Thought it was a button buck so didn't have bow ready until it was too late. Better safe than sorry I guess.
Might get out some time this week, otherwise for sure this weekend. Now that my buck tag is full, I can focus on the does. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Heading to the WI property tomorrow. First hunt there this year. Here's to hoping the low pressure allows me the opportunity to shoot a big boy! Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks...it sounds like you had a good encounter this morning. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
This morning at about 9 o'clock I almost got an arrow into a real Nice 8 pointer. He was just a little too far Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I made my scorecard adjustments and edited my post with gross score. Buck grossed at 90, initially I posted 75 for net. Extra 15 points. Hopefully I did it right
Please feel free to insert your own array of colorful language as i relay my story....lord knows i did, some clusters may still be hanging over the western half of the county yet.....so was debating whether to cut out of work early and sit out this afternoon. Saw how windy it was and figured nah, im going to be lazy today. Smh....i just cant seem to get it together this year yet....so got home at about 3:30, still contemplating... took a last minute work related phone call and said nope, dont want to de-scent and rush it now. Decided to sneak in and change SD cards...feel my tears welling up? So as i was on the phone blabbing about work bs, this guy was checking out my plot, sipping my water, and leaving his image on my cameras! Uggg! On one hand, happy i dont have to do all the work myself this evening, on the other hand GOSH DARN IT! Oh well, he knows where the water is and will definately be back. He was in there last night at 6 pm also (near sobbing now).... Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
Think about this...every day it is getting better. We have darn near 3 to 4 weeks of outstanding hunting coming Stacy. It is gonna happen...... Kill. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Those are the worst, just remember sometimes its just a coinflip, dont let it get to your head! Like Brett said, lots of good hunting left!
True, very true....i have no doubt, it will come together, just feels like im always half a step behind right now...i say, COMMENCE THE BLOOD SHED! Lets make it rain! Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
Heading out for WI. Hopefully tonight I will have a need to post pics. I'm due. I haven't shot a deer in 3 years. That changes this afternoon. This is the least amount of pressure on the property ever. Fingers crossed! Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
After great hunting conditions on Sunday but poor movement I've backed out the last two days under a little warmer temps just to let things reset a little bit. The weather Wednesday through Sunday looks pretty favorable. Will probably get back at it pretty good in the afternoons and maybe a morning sit over the weekend. Good luck all!
Im pretty stacked all week into this weekend but Im taking monday off then going to be hitting it hard from there
Wow what an exciting sit! Hit the "back yard" this evening. Ended up having 5 does and 3 nubbins come into the food plot. The matriarch doe was kicking some butt too wow! I watched her smoke one of the nubbins right in the snout when she reared up then she chased him down& kicked him in the hind end. 2 hrs worth of entertainment Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
Those are the coolest evenings, you really just get to take it all in watching them in their element. Makes sending an arrow that much better
No luck for me. I didn't see a thing. Farmer was picking the beans literally 15 years behind me. I'm off from November 3rd until the 15th so there is still time. Plenty of shooters on camera though! Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
