Will be headed out tomorrow in the afternoon. Hoping to get in a few hunts this weekend. Temps are not dropping much but the rain has moved out and the wind is blowing the right direction. Picked up a new hunting rig yesterday so hopefully I can get some blood in the bed this weekend!

Got out for about an hour after work today. Basically still hunted while checking out an area I was thinking of putting one of my cameras. Well the spot I was going to put my camera hadn't been used in years so I moved on. After stopping and checking a spot out I made a mistake. Instead of looking all around before I took my next step I just stepped forward and there to my left stood a big doe at 20 yards. After a few seconds she spun and bound away. I decided to stay at that spot for the rest of the evening. With about 15 minutes left a big doe and fawn came through to my right at 40ish yards. They were pretty alert but never spooked. Next time out will be Saturday.

Date night with the wife last night was a success. Bottle of wine and sushi. Then went to see A Star is Born - it was okay - not a Lady Gaga fan by any measure but her acting was pretty incredible to be honest. Overall kinda a depressing movie to watch someone struggle with addiction.

Heading out to the tree stand after work today (was a crisp 35 this morning), but check this forecast for this evening!! 46, light rain, winds a 6 mph. Probably about my favorite conditions to hunt in to be honest.

Cheers to everyone - Happy Friday!

Ya Bradley Cooper is solid and he’s an incredible vocalist it turns out. Gaga music doesn’t appeal to me nor do her politcs.

But putting all that aside - a night out with the wife was what it was all about.

Out for a cool sit. Snuck out of work early. Deer were really moving last night. Told the other half he should sit this morning. He said it was windy at 0530 so he went back to bed. About an hour later the wind completely died to nothing....ooops!
