Hello fellas, just wanted to stop in and say good luck this season. Hunt hard and above all HUNT SAFE!
Checking in. Matt from central il 27 yo. I'm self taught for the most part and it's a long but adrenaline filled learning curve. started shooting a bow when I was 10. Went out for my first hunt when I was 16. I have about 25 private acres to hunt bordering a gov owned lake. This year I am working on picking up an additional 40 in another county my gf and I hope to call home within the next year.
Hi guys, sorry I'm late for the party, I just got assigned as an alternate. Season starts this Friday here, so I'm ready to rock & roll!
Welcome to the team Matt. Glad to have another Illinois hunter on the team. Where in central IL ya from?
Welcome Redz, glad to have ya here as part of the team. Tell us about yourself & if ya have trail cam pics, post em up, we'd love to see em.
I live in MD, and this'll be my third season bowhunting. I hunt all public land, & don't use trail cams, but we have a ton of deer here, & no bag limit on does! :D
Originally from shelby county and that's my main hunting place. Trail cams are on the first soak of the year on the small acre spot I hunt. It's small enough I try to stay out best I can until the season starts. New spot is in Dewitt county still working out the specifics with it. Soon as I get the go ahead I'll have cams out and stands up! Really excited about it so hope it comes through!
We're not to far away from one another. I live in Mason Co. but I hunt all over central & west central IL. I spend a lot of time in & around Springfield so if youre ever in the area & want to talk deer let me know & we'll figure something out.
These were 2 up n comers from last year that we let walk (Rocky & Bullwinkle). They stuck together like brothers last summer & I saw them together again this morning crossing the road just after first light. Bullwinkle was showing some significant growth from last year & looked quite a bit taller in the tines & Rocky seemed to have straightened out a bit, but still had oddities. Im hoping to have some pics of them on the cameras, might have to pull some cards this weekend. Looking forward to another year of watching them grow. Bullwinkle Rocky
Just a pick of the guy I shot a few years back great potential in the area just kinda a right spot right time being as it's a small property I took him off of
