Here is one picture guys. He is not one of the big boys I am after but I have always wanted to take a buck from the ground without a blind. Tonight this guy came in and made a rub at 40 yards and then came to 8 yards when I lung punched him. He went less then 40 yards. I will score him tomorrow and post on the score page. The video of the hunt will be up by the end of the weekend on my page theJourney
I would have liked to get one of my better scoring deer for the contest. The cool footage and the fact I was on the ground made it hard to pass this buck up. Some great memories go with this deer.

Well fellas its finally Friday! I have the trucked packed & a 2 hour drive ahead of me before I reach deer camp. The rut is on & Im ready to see some big bucks on their feet. Good luck yall, Ill talk to ya later. Happy hunting & be safe.
Its 2am here & Im still wide awake. I got to camp around 10, looked over trail cam pics, had a bite to eat, a couple drinks & here I sit with my laptop talkin to you turkeys. Come on sunrise!!! Im ready to see the big bucks cruisin the ridges lookin for a hot doe.
Action is heating up here in ky. Last night I passed a 110-120 that I am regretting. He was a very nice public land buck. I put a friend on him today and he wasn't able to get it done but did get a look at him.
Almost had a doe today. Couple more steps and I would have had a shot. slow year so far but not gonna give up that easy.
Hey guys. I'm back from my rut vacation. To sum up my time off in one word it would be CRAP. I never saw a shooter in Michigan and overall deer movement was way down. The farmer spread turkey crap and plowed all the fields. Before that deer were all over the place. However we had an awesome weekend in Ky. No shots but saw some good bucks I'll catch up on the the thread later today. Looks like you guys had some luck!!
