well its been pretty slow, had a hen show up for about 2 hours this morning and hang out with my decoys. We had a nice conversation. Got some good pictures of her and some video of her hanging with the decoys. She has left and came back and circled me a few times, but now i think she is gone for good, she went the way she originally came in. Have heard 0 gobbles, so thats a little disappointing. Im sticking it out though, cause the pictures of gobblers ive gotten on trail cam are all in the after noon.

Question to you guys hunting in a blind. I will be using my fixed blade slick trick with a backer on it, Do you guys leave the screen in your blind up when shooting your bow out of a blind with a fixed blade? I am going to test it out this week once to see if it effect my shot but just want to hear your experiences.

No help from me, I shoot mechanicals, so I have the front screens off on my blind.

Going out this weekend. Hope to get over a big tom, I did some more research and have shot my Magnus Bullheads some more and I think that is going to be the broadhead of choice on Saturday. Will be packing two arrows of each of my broad head set ups.

Muscovy Ducks have a much structure than a turkey. Haha thats what I had thought but it would have been cool to take that duck out while practicing

    The score is in.
    Weight- 24 lbs 7 ounces
Spur length Right: 1.250 in. Left: 1.250 in.
    Beard length 10.5 in.

    Your score is 24.4375 + 11.25 + 11.25 + 21 = 67.9375

I have a tag for another bird so I will hold off posting in the score board thread. I dont think I will top it though.

Great birds you guys! Congratulations! I haven't spent any time out with the bow yet. Last weekend I partook in some run and gun with my brother in law and cousin and was able to get them each birds. I'll be back out Sunday-Tuesday, solo this time with z7x in hand and an avian x staked at 12 yards. I'm really hoping to add to that scorecard! Here's the two gun birds I was in on.

Well guys it was a rough weekend here in Wisconsin for me. The birds pretty much were quiet all weekend long I did not hear a single gobble. I drove all over trying to find the birds at all my locations but had no luck as they just were not coming out to the fields. On Saturday we had two jakes come in right when we had just got sat down and we were just starting to put our face paint on and they were on the field. They came in perfect but having been rushed to get ready that also in turn made me rush my shot a little. The birds head came up right before I pulled the trigger on my release so I hit the bird about 3 inches to low for a neck or a head shot on it. I hit the body pretty solid but with a magnus on he just walked away with a cut. He was bleeding a couple drops of blood about every ten yards not very much so we decided to back off and not ruin the rest of the nights hunt. I am confident that that bird will be fine. I am done with my testing of them magnus bullheads and I will not be using them again. Just going to stick with my fixed blade slick tricks as I wish I would have from the start now. That bird would have been toast with a normal broadhead.

Guess I have to wait until season 5 now for my next chance at a bird. Hopefully the birds are not acting as stupid as they have been with all the weird weather that we have gotten.

Congrats Wesley on that giant of a bird!

Hey fellas tagged out in Kansas! Shot a great Tom on Monday with my shotgun. 20 lbs, 9.5" beard, and 1" hooks. Today I took my first bird with stick and string. He's a jake, but I sure am proud of him. It was an awesome spring!

I wish for the sake of our scorecard I killed the Tom with my bow, but I couldn't be more happy with either bird. These are my first I called in on my own and am already excited for next April!

Well im calling an end to my turkey season. I still have a tag and could hunt tomorrow and then three days next week, but I'm wore out from hunting my days off and been working a bunch of ot at work. I'm more then happy with the bird I got, especially for my first year turkey hunting, and with a bow at that. good luck to any one else still chasing a bird. I'll post my bird to the score card.
