Anybody get out this week or does anyone's season open up soon?

I went out yesterday morning and tried to hunt from the ground for a change. Ground was still plenty wet from the rain we got Wed/Thurs but things just didn't seem to go my way. Bought a new tripod seat and the carry strap broke when I packed up to move spots, then the wind completely changed direction so I could no longer still hunt into the wind. I would have had to found a completely different area to still hunt and it was already 8:00a by that time.

Wound up leaving early because I was just frustrated. I'll be back in the woods on the 6th and 7th of October.

Oklahoma opens tomorrow but I'm waiting for it to cool off a bit before I get out there. I did help a buddy clear some shooting lanes for a new stand on Saturday. It was 90+ degrees so I'm not in a big hurry to hunt. My chances of killing a few does there is pretty high. Got some decent bucks on camera as well.

Sittin here waiting on a deer. I thought with the rain and cooler temps they would be moving pretty well. Not so, I've seen all of one doe and then proceeded to shoot over her back. Oh well, im out here all day so hopefully they'll start coming around again

Congrats again Pat on the Muley! I posted this in the trail cam forum....needless to say I got a little excited this past weekend.

Well guys I got a pleasant surprise this weekend. I haven't had an opportunity to get up to my farm in a couple of months and check the cams. Last year, my brother thought he shot a buck we call The Perfect 10 during rifle season. Unfortunately, the blood trail lead to the neighbors property line and long story short (Road Hunters) he wasn't able to recover the buck. All this time thinking that buck was gone....but I was wrong. He's back and he's a dandy. First couple of pics are from last year for reference.

holy **** that is a nice buck!!! hope you get a crack at him. I checked cams saturday and had a few surprises as well. unfortunately that muley only got me 50 pts but ill def tag a doe for another 50 pts. if we had a 1 buck swap, i could definitely provide some more :) got a 10 pt that should go about 140+, which is awesome for down here.
