Found #4 today! My daughter found his other side last year, about 60 yards from here.

Went out to do some hinge cutting hoping to track some bedding areas and possibly find a shed or two. Anywhere off the snowmobile trail the snow is between knee and waist deep, made for tough walking and no sheds. Hopefully spring comes soon.

#6, finally a fresh one in one of my spots. Also saw a couple bucks still holding so I'll stay out of my good spots for a while longer

Hi fellas, I was directed your way to join the effort. I'm up to 4 so far. I'll get a pic of them up later. I've got lots of ground to cover and the time to cover it. Should be a blast.

Only one fresh one for me so far and it's a lil guy. The 2 big ones are a match set found before season ended here and are from last year. 20190227_160211.jpeg

That's a stud set. Do you know if he is still around to find this year?

He was around...last I saw him was December at 40 yards but he gave me no shot. Several pics on camera and yeah he is awesome. I hope he dropped horn on my spot, but I'm asking the neighbors for permission to walk their fields too. Above all I hope to see him during season next year!

Each side measured 75 inches give or take and those were last year. He added one more point and maybe some length this year. I think he is 4.5 years old and is definitely the most exciting deer I've hunted.

I have a 6+ on my property I hope to get this year. I was elk hunting during the rut here so wasn't able to see him on the hoof. He made it through the season so I hope it will be around during November.

I grew up in NC and this made me chuckle a little. Scrubby little mountain bucks were all I saw till I moved to the mid west.

Hoping to get a quick look this afternoon, but tomorrow I'm putting in some miles. I think I'm getting permission on a farm that's never been picked over and may go there in the morning. Also working on permission to hunt there this fall too.

    Anybody looking today?

I tried a new spot today that was paved with roads cutting through for future businesses but no luck. Buck sign everything and didn't see any with antlers running around but came up empty. May have to hit it several more times to cover it all. Below are some pics.

I’m heading to some public land that I’ve never been on today. Has a lot of south facing ridges that were clear cut in 2013. Hopefully it’s not too woody and still has some thick undergrowth for cover and bedding.
