I wish I was going to Ohio this year. What part of the state are you hunting?

 

Took out a big doe, gutted her, checked her in, now I'm back on stand waiting on that buck, lol.

I'm in Tuscarawas County. Some say it's northeast Ohio, some say it's southeast Ohio. Regardless, it's one of the top counties in the state every year.

 

Getting ready to head out for my first hunt of the year in an hour. Should be a great morning.

I have been hunting in Knox County since 2008. Not going this year, wife’s having knee replacement surgery today so my hunting will be limited this year until she can get back to driving.

 

1 button buck while hunting and 2 does in the field when I was walking out. Good first sit.

 

Hope all goes well. If all the joint replacement surgeries the knee is the most painful one. Take care of mama, but make sure she goes to therapy and does her exercises at home, this is vital in getting back to normal.

 

Thanks everyone tells that and I’ll make sure she does.

 

Didn't hunt today, but I freshened up the corn piles, added in some apple crush attractant, made a mock scrape, and fixed 1 strap on that double stand. Now I'll be working the next 4 nights. The area can get a nice little rest and I'll be back at it Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

 

I may get out Sunday. Big weather change coming.
