Rutin, what is that red smoke in the background of the doe and fawn? Or am I crazy?

Well, I finished my first weekend and came home without a kill. I really thought I would see more than I did so I was a little dissapointed. Pretty sure the bucks have shed their velvet here. Had a Sept 13 photo of a buck with blood covered, velvetless rack. Had a nice doe at 6 yds but since my mounting for my video camera wasn't working I skipped on the shot and filmed her by hand. Didn't see a single buck. Still have a long season ahead though. We need to take some doe off of this property and the freezer is just about empty so I'll be trying to whack one when the opportunity arises.

I believe its just the sun reflecting off the lens of the camera, I noticed that too in those pics.... guess thats why I liked it. Kinda crazy you cant even see the blind in the buck pics but its the exact same spot

I am on the board fells! Shot me a nice Indiana Gray Squirrel tonight! Only got one, but that will be enough to go with what is left of my turkey from this past spring! My deer season just a few weeks away now!! Get pumped!

Twitch, I think those count as 5 points for the contest...haha

I will be heading out in the woods here shortly, and checking some cams. Praying for the 9pt I'm after to show back up again.

Had 2 does, both around 100ish yards. Checked cams, I have some ridiculous doe movement in the area I'm in, all times of day and night.

Ever since the 1st week or so of sept, I have been getting a lot less buck pics. Hopefully they'll show up again here soon. Hows everyone else doing?

Doe movement has to be a good thing. Bucks will come in October! Stay on them man!

Things good here - going to do a final camera check on Sunday, see how the food plot is doing and basically just getting ready for opening week. I've got about 3 or 4 properties that I am going to be hunting this year and I've only scouted out one of them this year. My confidence is high.

Been out a few night this week. Seeing alot of movement not so much in the timber here in WI but moving into the beans and alfalfa fields. Corn and beans are both coming off here at a pretty good speed. Got skunked the other night on my favorite stand due to a sow and 3 cub black bears drinking from my water hole and climbing trees. Will be back out tonight as well as this weekend. Calling for a low on Sunday morning of 27. Should get the deer moving!

Going out tomorrow to check cams. Just got a new 100 acre tract with a big creek running thru it. Know the area pretty well so I know its usually only good during the rut but im still excited bc it hasnt been hunted in over 12 years. Ive hunted everything around it for 19 years is the only reason i know that. Hopefully ill have something worth shooting on cams after tomorrows check, if not then ill kill a doe. Gotta hang a bunch of double set stands and cams tomorrow between all my properties so im gonna be insanely busy!

Looking forward to the pictures rutin.

Just finished my afternoon sit, saw a bob cat and a big bodied deer (guessing it was a buck by the size of its body, it went and posed in front one of my cams for about 10 minutes). Will be checking that camera this week.

Checked cameras this morning, checked the food plot, trimmed some shooting lanes and fired a few arrows from the tree stand (almost 30 feet up) and now I'm ready to go!

Hung a few new cams and stands today. Had another guy try to steal a camera but thankfully I had it in a lock box on a tree! My target is still around but purely nocturnal. Problem is there are about 3 other people with permission on this land. Did just pick a new 100 acre piece the will be good during the rut. Heres a few pics of him:
