Nothing for me today either. Matt scored on a nice doe this morning. I didn't see a deer this AM and just a spike this evening. Tomorrow is another day.

Didn't score in NC. That's fine though, I have 2 doe tags in 2 different management areas so a doe doesn't concern me. It's Mr Big that I'm after.

Don't worry Rob, there's plenty of time left to whack a few does before it's all said and done. Same for you Wally!

Mike and I got a few more stands hung and trimmed out this past weekend at our local hunting spots, now all that's left to do is wait for the season to open. I'm hoping one of us can score on a buck early on one farm that's holding 2-3 shootable deer. That would help take some of the pressure off for the Nov 1-9 madness of traveling across the state of IL in pursuit of whitetails.

Rob - you gettin' geared up for your IL hunt yet???

Mentally I'm already there but I don't want to wish my Oct/first week of Nov season in PA away too fast. Opening day is this next Saturday the 4th.....very much anticipating it. Last weekend sits in the stand was a great start but I'm going through withdrawals this week.

Well Steve and I just got back from from Hunting in Illinois with Todd and Kyle and man did the farm stink right now!! Steve passed alittle 8pt Thur. night and Fri. night and then nothing till Sat. night we switched farms and right as Itake the camera off the arm because it is to dark we see about a 160-170 trot out of the corn about 40 yards away.Sunday night we sit the same farm oppiste side and see 19 deer 4 little dink bucks no biggins so we packed uped a day early and headed home.. Now it's my turn to finally pick up the 101st instead of the PD170 so watch out deer here comes Wally!!!!!:deer:

Glad to have you on board! Things worked out well since we had a guy that never showed up and you were the last alternate on the list. I guess fate just so happened to put you on the best team. :D

Congrats on the doe, she's a nice one. And is it just my imagination or does the banner in your signature keep getting bigger and more impressive every year???

Thanks guys, those are definetly my best 5 bucks. Unfortunately this year I no longer have access to that land. I was laid off this year and I worked where I hunted. So I literally walked and worked exactly where I hunted. So I witnessed deer movement on a daily basis. After or before work I could go crawl up a stand which allowed me to hunt 5-6 days a week. It was very nice but now back to reality I guess and I am starting all over. No worries I still have my hopes on a decent deer. It's just my expectations of reality went from a 150" buck to 100+" buck. But I am hunting sharpshooters hunts within Minneapolis and Saint paul city limits. And I have a chance at a backyard buck if I am lucky enough. They have shot some monsters on these hunts.
