Hi Team !! I finally got my appointment and got some pain shots in my spine and lower back. Got out in the woods and went for a walk. Seems to be good. Even found some mushrooms. Tag and drag is good and I hope we all get to do it. I set some cams out this morning where i plan to hunt on the opener here in PA Oct 2nd. Have a lot of doe on the property and none in the freezer, so I hope to change that soon.

I will be out this weekend. Also going to try and get a couple sits in during this week. I got a couple hot spots that should produce. But I'm starting to get the drive to start chasing a big buck again. Last couple years I didn't have the drive to chase bucks, I was just happy shooting any deer. Not this year! I want to shoot a public land slob!

In hospital with wife. They're initial assessment is stroke. They've taken a ton of blood from her... 2x's, done an EKG, and put her on oxygen. Her 02 levels were 89 on arrival, now setting at 100. Chest X-rays are scheduled along with urine analysis. Busy ER.. and of course under staffed. Currently she is resting comfortably. Praying all goes well. I think she needs to be on a low dose of oxygen, full time. Recently diagnosed with diastolic heart failure.

I will be out this weekend. Going to bear hunt tomorrow night and possibly Thursday or Friday. But will deer hunt the opener. Just had a pic of my main buck tonight. First pic in about 10 days. And was 2 hours before dark! Maybe I can get a early season buck for once

    Sounds hopeful!

Early doe season is this weekend. Will likely be taking my to middle kids out to try and get their first deer. Might take the bow along just in case.

Good luck! Take your time and shoot that buck! Your first sit is usually your best chance!

    NOTHING!!!
I've text her, I called her... nothing! Hopefully she's still there!!!
The ER was a total mess yesterday afternoon and evening. Over 30 cases came in to an [unfortunately] understaffed hospital - and they were only going to have 3 nurses on the unit overnight. I feel so sorry for those employees that are so overtaxed, trying their very best to give care to all those in need.
She was suppose to spend the night in the ER due to no beds being available anywhere in the hospital. They were [are] treating patients in the hallways (ugh).
(I think) it's not COVID - they tested and I left shortly before 9pm last evening and they tested her about 1pm... hoping she's not in ICU. The ER doctor thinks it's pneumonia w/complications from her Parkinson's Disease. The admitting doctor thinks it's lung damage from her PD and her Diastolic Heart Failure is playing a role in her oxygen levels bouncing all over the place. They placed her on 02, but the moment she started to talk [which is a chore for her as she was (is) loosing her voice] her numbers would plummet from the 90's into the 70's.

After this message... I'm calling the hospital verses her cell phone. HOPEFULLY, I can find out how and where she is. PRAYING!!!

UPDATE: Called the hospital... she's okay (whew!!! Thank You Lord!). She's still in the ER, however they do have a room assignment for her and she should be going upstairs in about a 1/2 hour. The receptionist gave me the room number she will be going to... plus the phone nr. to the room, and the phone nr. to the nurse's station. I feel a whole lot more better... more better (my mother would kill me for saying that... that's improper English! :bash:).

So, now I'll get ready to start my day with a spring in my step :nana:. Let the day begin!
