Well seen 3 small bucks this morning. Pretty cold this morning. Got a few things to get done before my last bow hunt before saturdays rifle opener.
It's crazy how big bodied those bucks up north are, wish it was like that here. Congrats to her! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Pulled my cams from public and nothing great, hunting pressure last year and this year really drove off those mature bucks. Best one was a young 10 pt but rest were scrub bucks and basket racks Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
Scorecard has really died Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
Everyone is back to work and rut slowing down. Happens every year. Rifle then muzzle loader season here for the next month. Then onto late season. My buddy shot a buck Saturday and let lay for the night. I went along for recovery today, that was fun. It died 50 yards from stand and he didn't see it fall Saturday. I will probably get a hunt in on Thanksgiving morning, then Saturday for the rifle opener. I will have a new buck tag come Saturday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Wish we were a 2 buck state. Lol bet my wife is glad it’s not Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
It's actually a 3 buck state. Use to be 4 bucks up until about 3 years ago. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Well it's been an eventful yet uneventful weekend. Hunted Saturday afternoon and evening, all day yesterday and back on stand this morning. It's finally down in the 30s here, absolutely no wind, dead quiet, and my brother heads home today. Haven't seen anything all weekend. Down side to having tiny spread in between much larger leased properties is rifles were popping off crazy on Saturday so thinking the hunting pressure has put deer in lock down. Nothing is coming through. Fingers crossed we get a walker this morning for him.
Next Monday starts gun season for a week. Try to get out once or twice before then. Had a friend show me a video this weekend. His sister lives near Canton, Ohio and last week came across this guy up the road from her house. Its a screen shot from a video. Not sure how to upload video here. Double drop tines. The one on his right side is dark so its hard to see. About same length as his left side. Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Wow! That's a dream buck for alot of people! I've seen one in person, and that was the only one I've seen since. It was amazing. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Hey y'all, thinkin' I may be starting to turn a corner. I'm still on meds for the bursitis, but I can actually put weight on my leg now and walk a tad normal. It's rifle season here in NY, but I'm not going out to sit in the cold all day. I don't want to aggravate this hip and suffer from that condition again. Late Archery Season is 12/13 - 12/21, and then again 12/26 - 1/1. I'm SURE my bursitis will be gone by then, so I plan on going out then... to add to our team's point total.
That dude looks awesome. Heard you can get a buck to make drop tines by shooting the antlers in velvet with a shot gun. Causes them to bleed and the blood dripping down hardens over time, and the antlers form down over it. Sounded like total BS to me, but curious if anyone has heard story like that before.
