Went out till 10am. Bumped a buck on way in, passed on a button buck and 3 yr old 7 pt after 7a. Nothing after that, don’t know where the doe group is but never came back to bedding area this morning. Guessing the mature bucks are in lockdown right now Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
WHOA... if I didn't know better, I'da' think I broke my hip. I'm in so much pain it's not funny. Naprosin is helping but pain is still making movement uncomfortable. Heat is helping... I've been on a large heating and vibrating pad since Saturday evening after getting home from hunting. I can't sleep as the pain and movement keeps me awake. May end up calling the Orthopedic dept to get X-rays... or stay in denial hoping it goes away by itself... ugh!!!!! The quote in my signature says it all. Being old sucks!!!
It takes quite a bit to break a hip. What is it, other than the pain, that has you thinking you broke it? And typically pain is from swelling around the break. Bones themselves don't have nerves. Be better the find out sooner than later, so don't put off tomorrow what you can do today.
That doesn't sound good, my be you over did it on your hunt? Did something happen that could have aggregate it? Hope you heal quick, I know you waited so long to get out and hunt. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Alright running out after work for a very quick hunt. Had a friend let me come and hunt his place for the first time. Its strictly to try and take out does. But of course you know a buck is going to walk by me!
And if it does, get some nice pictures of it without shooting it, send them to your buddy, and I bet you he lets you hunt there in the future because of your integrity.
At Chiropractor now. I can hardly put weight on my left leg. Pain is 12 on a 1 to 10 scale. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Im at work on second shift this week. The wife send me a text saying that big buck is bedded with a doe about 100 yards from the house.
Well since these warm temps pushed in most of the buck movement appears to be at night. Anyone else having same problem? Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
Yes, which is weird because I was able to get my first one early morning when it was upper 60s that day. Not sure if the "Rut" activity has them preserving energy during the day right now or what. Supposed to really start cooling off down here finally in next week or 2 which is good because my next and only other hunt opportunity starts next weekend for solid week through Thanksgiving.
Yes same here. Have seen a little bit of buck movement on cam. But was either real early or real late. Cooling down here today. Will be out a bunch this weekend. Hope they are not all locked down
Pain somewhat lessened, but still unable to put full weight on left leg. Getting ahold of the Orthopedic dr that did my knees. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
Jerry, what do you feel is the problem causing the pain? That's a horrible pain to be in. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Lmao decided not to go out this morning to spend time with kids and get other 2 off to school and lil bit ago looked and saw a big bucks coming down my field, tried to cut him off but only got within 50 yards then he moved on and walked right by my stand Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
Horrible is right! It could be from the 'new' knee I got in 2019, but they don't think it needs replacing - WAIT, WHAT? Ugh! I suffer with chronic pain daily from cervicogenic headaches and osteoarthritis of my entire spine, both hips, knees, and left shoulder (with impingement - hence X-bow now verses compound). Right now it appears to be the osteoarthritis affecting my left hip, femur and tibial plateau, radiating pain down both the femur and the tibia. So, for now... naprosen, tylenol, moist heat (corn bags), and rest are in order.
