Great hunt this morning . Shot a 10 pt at 25yards waited 2 hours before tracking and followed red carpet for like 150 yards and dried up lil ways in cornfield

Good luck. Hopefully he pumped all his blood out and is dead not to far away. What you think you hit? Thinking dead deer?

Not sure, it was hard quartering away shot. I could see my fletchings right before impact and looked like 2rib behind shoulder. He bounded off few yards and just stood there like he didn’t knew what happend. Then he stood there for awhile and eventually limped off and stood there again.

LOTS of deer this am. Too far away to get a crack at any. Moved closer to where they traveled through... hoping they'll make the return trip this pm on the same trail. I'm in the woods all day... hey, you never know. PBJs for lunch. Reception is lousy here.

Van... sure hope you find the deer. That's a lot of blood.

With that amount of blood, would think that's a dead deer

Picked up blood again and followed for another 60 yards and then nothing. Never found any beds. I think I hit low along his side, blood was low on his body and that hair was part white and brown. Prolly clipped a branch but still yet to find my arrow. Here’s where I shot him. Let my team down and my lil buddy.

Dang man that's rough. Might be worth another search. That was a lot of blood. If you feel confident that he is fine, then jump back on that horse, still plenty of rut left.

I know just feels like the odds are stacked against me. Saw another 10pt and 9pt after I shot him. Overall prolly 15 does.

I know this advice doesn't mean much, but keep your head up and try and stay positive. It goes along way. Never know when the next big buck will walk into your life. You will get the next one!
