Is this the same creek crossing you had a couple years ago? If I remember you had some great bucks in there. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Checking In Chris Jay from central Illinois. 4 year old twin dad and obsessed deer hunter. Blessed to be able to hunt some of the best whitetail country around. Lucked into some decent bucks over the last few years. Still trying to climb the ladder on the most mature deer! Looking forward to October 1! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Alright! Welcome to the team! I know your new to the fourm, so any questions just ask away. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I second Holt. It's been a few years since I've been in the contest, so I'm not up to speed on what all is involved.
I don't mind being captain, as long as you guys vote for it. If not I don't mind if someone else wants it. Good either way. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I can throw names out all day. Tricky part is getting everyone to pick 1 lol. Team Name ideas: Cloud 9 (Feelin' Fine) Brass Monkeys (you know, the funky monkey) Dress 2 Bless Absurd Herd
That’s a stud there! They’re mostly still velvet here as well. That deer is a home body and roams all times of day and night it seems. Second year for him on our family lease. He’s a bully! I’m hoping my dad gets a crack at him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My problem is I am hunting a spot that is shared between 3 of us. 1 of the 3 doesnt bow hunt, so get an early crack, by my brother in law hunts it with an X Bow. I am essentially only going to get 1 early crack at that one...4 days scheduled middle of Oct. Then I wont get back out there until Thanksgiving week. I know once the first couple drop, the pressure will reduce odds quite a bit, so my first sit will be a very patient one with long days in the stand/blind.
Thanks! Doing okay for an old guy and a newly crowned Great Grampa! Our granddaughter blessed us with our first. He's 2 and a half months old... and he already has dibs on my Kimber 6.5 Creedmoor. There's a BIG 10-point hanging out behind his poppa's house, but I think his dad has it pretty much staked out for himself. He's such a hog... LOL. It's really great to 'see' some of the old crew posting. I kinda keep in touch with Heckler off and on via FB, and I've enjoyed watching his and tynimiller's boys grow up. It actually feels great interacting with y'all. I hope everyone participating in the contest has an enjoyable season and gets to experience God's great outdoors safely.
OMG... Absurd Herd. I think you and I would get along quite well with our sense of humor. AND... I love your avatar - nice XKE(!) is it a '68? Not trying to influence anyone... keep team name ideas coming.
Thanks. I get my "warped" sense of humor from my dad. It is actually a 1970 3.0 Marcos GT...very similar to the XKE. Same market (British) and falls into that British sports car era. Another passion I am slowly growing into that I inherited from my Dad. Heck, thats how I landed here. He was the one to pick up bow hunting about 10 years back. Went Elk Hunting (Spot and Stalk) in NM. Only got the draw once, got one opportunity, came up short and never got another opportunity again. Looking to improve on that by starting with some Whitetails.
Yeah you mean this one that I’ve been chasing for 2 seasons. Yes same creek crossing Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
