If you have all the parts of the deer you can put them together and take the pic with you and crossbow in it. The pic on the bottom will work, just need one more.

say wha...??? All the parts? You mean as long as he has hide, and the head? Feel like putting all the guts/meat next to the carcass is kinda pointless HAHA

No guts, hope he didn't bring that home! Haha. Just take the cape with the head on it and lay over the skinned deer. Super easy

Gotcha. Well I would say, that seems like a lot of effort for 50 pts on a little side game that doesn't mean more than just doing it for fun, especially if he is pretty confident he will get another.
I say, just get the 2 pics on your next one @jarin matthews .

    Congrats again!!!

So while we are on this topic...how do you all process your deer?
Mine is still currently quartered up, bagged and in a freezer. Is it best to process it shortly after, or does it matter if it stays frozen for couple months after quartering it?

I put mine in a fridge for a week, then process it. I personally don't like to freeze a deer, Thaw out, process, then Re freeze it. But people do it that way also.

I have also processed deer the same or very next day if I have the time. Most the time I don't have time, so that's why it's in the fridge for a week. I also keep my deer fridge set at about 35 degrees, just above freezing.

I do what ever the family eats. As of right now I'm at about 95 percent is burger, then the rest is the back straps. I keep them whole and put in crock pot as a roast or bbq. Once in awhile I will do a couple packs of chip steak. Love me some deer cheese steaks!

Alright I’m finally in, took very long slow approach to avoid bumping based off of wind. Set up between 2 creek crossings and edge of bedding area. Same area where the bucks were cruising and other side of creek is field of standing corn

    Thats promising.
Do you have Doe tags? And do you usually take a Buck first, or just play it day by day?

Pretty close to the same as Holt does his deer. Although I don’t have a deer fridge but plan to get one once we get a house. I have a large cooler I can fit an entire quartered deer in and just work at it through out the week. Dona couple of roasts, some times take to place close by and they smoke one of the rear hams for me and slice it thin like lunch meat. Most of it is grind though because we eat that the most.

Just play it day by day. The neighbors property I was hunting today doesn’t want me taking does just bucks. When I make it down to my grandpas farm I’ll take a couple without hesitation. Lol I can shoot a doe off my porch if I wanted but I have to redeem myself after last season
