We are in Kansas at the moment trying to get my buddy a buck. We have three big ones on cam. Hopefully tomorrow morning is it.

Got skunked this morning. Currently sitting in a cove of a dry lake bed hoping that the does and 9 point that came through on camera yesterday afternoon make a repeat appearance.

Hunted all day, didn’t see a single deer. Almost 80 today, not liking this heat in November.

Saw a lone doe at about 120 yards around 9:15 this morning. She popped in and out of a thicket so fast I couldn’t even get my rifle up. Had the bow with me as well, but nothing came close wnough to think about that.

it has warmed up to 78* this afternoon, just the rifle this afternoon. If I shoot something, I want it down fast. I will have the bow with me tomorrow for the morning at least.

I shot a buck tonight on my ground. Not huge but I’m proud of him. Will get it posted when I’m back in good service. [IMG]

I killed a antlerless deer tonight, but it was with a rifle, so it won’t count for the contest. It didn’t come closer than 115 yards and I was runningout of daylight.

I am going to skip the morning hunt, go to church, and take care of some family stuff. May try to get out for the evening. I am off Monday and Tuesday so I will be hunting one or both those days depending on how Monday goes.

@Berwickbuckmaster How do you like your V3X and how long have you had it? My PSE Response had limb or cam failure, we will never know because PSE had barely any parts for it and it was going to cost $500 to x-ray to find out. I got my V3x out of NY new for $799. I shot it last year but this year it is dialed in and I hope to never change. Hands down the best bow I have ever shot. Mathews honors all parts for life, which is another reason I made the Mathews switch.
