Well nothing for the past 2 nights. Weather here has been crappy. rain for 3 days, went out Sat night, nothing, not a sound. Same tonight. I took 2 days off work and will hit it hard Wed night, Thurs, Fri, Sat mornings and nights. Hope we see something, and connect. I did put up a new stand in the opposite corner (200yds away) of my one stand. It's in the corner of the alfalfa field and butts up to the middle of a corn field. There is a small trail between the two w/recent prints in it, and a you can see where they come out just short of my stand. Nothing for bucks at all. I may try state land before I go to work next week.

hey congrats on the doe. Man it's been tough. I've been out several times this week, nothing. Even went to a newer spot on the property, along a cornfield. Hoof prints everywhere, cornstalks 6 rows deep pushed over, & nothing tonight. Damn, where are they all. Storms tonight & tomorrow morning. Maybe Sat I'll try some public land in the morning & and hit the corn field at night. My kid hasn't seen anything on the other side of property either. Sorry guys, just haven't been able to contribute much. We'll keep on trying.

Well, it's 9 days off from work starting now. I am ready to hunt. Guys, I will be posting pics soon I hope. I have a pretty good game plan set up. We will see if the good Lord and lady luck are on my side as well. I know I have already entered my buck for the contest, but I have a good one coming soon, I just know it. Anyways, good luck to the rest of you guys. I will be checking in periodically.

Brandon... you have to go to the " Official score card " thread... post your 2 pictures and tell them you have a doe for Team 9. Then they will enter it on the next update.

Congrats again on the doe !!

Hey guys, forgot to mention one thing. That private land I'm on, I've been hunting the edges of an alfalfa field that buts up to a corn field. Me & the kid go & scout said corn field on the far east side that abuts some woods. Holy cow, deer prints everywhere, and 6 rows of corn pushed over. So I set up that night in a climber, w/3 20yds windows, and nothing. We haven't been there since last weekend, so I hoping Wed night will be productive there. Maybe during the day, I'll move my ladder stand there and have a little bit better spot to shoot from.

Way to go Indiana! at least we're getting points on the board. Now for my sux a@@ news. I threw my back out on Wed. Out of commission for a week, & gun season opens on the 20th. Not too much pressure to produce. As soon as I'm able, I'll hit it hard every day the week before gun season. Remember that earlier post I made about the corn field? We'll we're definitely going to move a stand there. My kid has been sitting in the alafalfa field adjacent, & hearing all kinds of branches snapping, etc coming from that direction, so I putting a stand up there asap. Then maybe we'll get something. anyways, good luck to the rest of the team. I won't be out until at least he 13th & it's driving me crazy. The rut is definitely on here.

I hunted hard 8 straight days and saw 5 deer. That's it. The only buck I saw was a Fergie clause 6 pointer. It turned really warm here. It was in the 80's last weekend and upper 60's to low 70's all week. Sucked.

To make it worse, I left the farm yesterday so I would be home for my anniversary today. My buddy I was hunting with all week called this morning. He shot a 120 class out of my stand this morning.

    I give up.

Well boys, here's an update on situation. The weather here is a bowhunters dream, 40's-mid 50s during the day, and 30's at night. No rain. you can hear the leaves crunch a mile away. Seen deer out at 3:30 in the afternoon. No success for my kid though. No deer come thru at all. As for me, I'm out for Nov for sure. Not sure how long into Dec. There are 3 different gun hunts here in Wi that month, so it's going to be tough. So sorry guys, it'll be a late harvest for me to contribute to the team. Damn, I'm going crazy. This has been the best weather that I can remember in a long time.
