We probably should do introductions. I'll start:

My name is Brad I am 32 years old and I live in West Bend, Wisconsin which is ~25 miles north of Milwaukee. I am married and have a two year old energetic son.

This is my first year bow hunting . Don't fret, I have been slug hunting deer for many years so I know deer pretty good. I bought my bow back in January and have put in my fair share of time shooting this year. I consider myself a hunter who takes it serious and works hard to give me the best chance for success.

I will be hunting my small farm lease, public land and my friend’s property. The lease I know well as I have hunted out there the last 4 years. I scout it year round.

I will be putting in a lot of time hunting this year so I think my chances of at least harvesting a doe are good and with a little luck I can contribute my share.

I just wanna know 2 things.

    1. Are ya'll the quiet, sit in the shadows and don't say alot type, or are ya'll the we gotta talk and make some noise type?

    2. Which one of us is gonna kill the biggest buck this fall?

That's it. That's all I wanna know. LOL

Just woundering what the teams plan is as far as how many days they plan on putting in? Are you going to hit it hard from day one? or whats the attack plan.I plan on putting in atleast 70 solid days as soon as this deployment is over and i clear the army im in the woods. I have 3 months of Term leave so basicly i get paid for 90 days to do nothing except hunt. Im sorrey i cant get more than 70 days in but ima hit as hard as possible. I have 3 private sets with 1 trusted public and Southern Indiana trip I take with my Uncle. So...just woundering

My name is Bobby. Some here know me from HNI. I have been bowhunting exclusively for 3 seasons and took a few Doe. I have had a few close calls with bucks but was not able to seal the deal. Hopefully this will be my Season. I am full of confidence and have some good stand locations on 48 acres of private land. It is high pressure all around my property, but I use it to my advantage. I will probably put in several weekends, evenings, and a week or so of vacation time.

I have 4 wonderful children and a 1.5 yr old grandaughter. I am married to the most wonderful wife in the world. I work for a major wireless carrier in Louisiana as a Cell-site Technician.

As they say mobow, "LET'S GET 'ER DUN!!!!!"

GFY, I'm hunting Ghost bucks. That's just how I roll.

I can't say I have a quanity of days predicted but I will say I will be hitting it hard from opening day.

My goal is 100" this year as a shooter for me with the bow. I don't think that is a bad first buck. However, for me it is a game time decision on what I am going to shoot or not. I have had my eyes on the dude in my avatar for a while. I think I may have a chance to catch him during early season as i have him patterned. Not the biggest guy in the world, but the biggest I have seen so far this year.

Bobby!! What's up bruthu!? How's things been, haven't talked to ya for a while.

Myself, I've been bowhunting for 5 years, and exclusively for 4. That's right, exclusively. During our firearms season, I have my Hoyt. My buddies all think I'm insane but hey, what they think doesn't matter! LOL

I figure it this way.......If I were to shoot a giant during firearms season w/ my aught 6, to me it would always have an * next to it. "Man, I wish I would have shot that w/ my bow!" So, the only way to prevent that is to not take the rifle.

I am in possesion of 4, count them, 1, 2, 3 and 4......buck tags this year. OMG, the reality of that just hit me. FOUR FRIGGIN BUCK TAGS! My Missouri archery tag is good for 2, my firearms tag is good for one, and......lucky me, I get to hunt Illinois this year as well.

My buddy there has some real studs on film, real studs. I'm really looking forward to hunting with him this year, and not just because of the deer. John's a great guy and I really look forward to sharing a camp with him this year.

I'll hunt northern MO once or twice this year, and the farm I hunt there is just super loaded with deer and has some really nice bucks on it. I hunted it one weekend last fall and passed up 12 deer, 2 of which were bucks. But, they weren't legal so I let 'em go so they could grow.

I also have my riverbottom set, where I killed a 130" 8 point 2 years ago. I have my camera set up there now, but have only gotten a pic of a doe so far. I'll check it again in a week, but that property is loaded as well.

But my main sit will be a 200 acre farm in southern MO, where I can kill does nearly at will. We have been working very hard at this farm, and it's seriously beginning to pay off. We're seeing some real giants down there the last couple years, we just couldn't quite get it to come together. I had 2 P&Y's inside 22 yards in one afternoon last fall, but just didn't get the shot I wanted. We're really getting the bucks nailed down there, the patterns figured out, bedding areas located. I've hunted this farm 6 straight years now and I seriously expect this year to be the best I've had.

I let a couple of bucks walk last fall that I won't allow to this. I get 4 friggin buck tags......There's some damn antler hittin the ground this year. The first 100" or bigger 8 point I get a shot at is in some serious trouble. For those of you that only hunt mature bucks, or only P&Y's, I think that's great, but I'm not playing that game anymore. At least not right anyway. After I put some antler on the ground, get a few under my belt, maybe. But it's just not my style right now.

I look forward to getting to know you guys a little better, most of you I'm not very familiar with. You'll soon find, if you don't know already, I enjoy bustin balls and smack talk. I am in this for the fun and comraderie and hey.......if we happen to kick buckeye's lowly little ass this year all the better!!
