I haven't been to any of my spots in a couple weeks with the bow opener a week away I'm starting to get the itch for real now me and good friend may go and chase hogs in a few days at a spot he's wanting to thin them out on. I've got my bowtech assassin all dialed in just in case but my recurve will be going to the stand with me on opening day and that's just the bottom line I've got my confidence up and I'm feeling like it's now or never. I've practiced for the last 2 1/2 years and now it's time I try to place an arrow right. I'm excited to harvest a deer with traditional equipment and I feel like all the hard work is gonna pay big hopefully on a buck but would be just as happy to drop a good mature doe with my bow. Yes I did. The two pins on the bottom pull out so it will be 3 separate pieces. Filled the legs with sand so it is solid.

This weekend is starting to setup nicely. Temp drop, consistent wind...now the questioning of where to sit begins...
Yeah this weather is looking really good for this weekend. Lows in the low 40s, highs in the low 60s. I'm definitely going out Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and then again Saturday afternoon. Talked it over with the wife, and everything is good!! My parents live about 15 minutes away from where I hunt, so when my hunters done Saturday morning to go visit them for an hour to have lunch with them, then head back out in the early afternoon.
