Great job I've have my back pack loaded and ready to go. Knives sharpened , drag roped packed. Grunt tube, can call, ever calm packed. Rattling horns strapped on to the backpack. BH are attached to my arrows. Practicing with them. No adjustments needed. 9 days away

I pulled my card on 1 camera today. Let's just say, it's very promising! The camera is right by one of our stands. Now here's hoping that they start moving through in daylight. The food plot looks good too. I'm going to set up a few cameras at the new property tomorrow to try and pin point where they like to move. We have a good idea but the cell cam will confirm for us. OK. Here is my update - Opener is next Saturday! I have plans with a buddy to hunt the am with him at a place I will only target a doe. I will be taking my xbow to improve my odds of success. This plan worked well last year as I shot one about 30 minutes into opening morning. Not sure I can do that again but, I will try. - I have 8 cell cams running in what I call...the big woods where I only target buck. In the last 30 days, I do not have a pic of a shooter but, I never concern myself with that. The area will get shooters through the season. For these hunts I usually have my compound. In PA, we only have 3 Sunday's to hunt deer and only one of them in archery at the end of the season so, I am really limited to Saturday or a holiday. I work out of town so, most short am or evening hunts are not possible. Sometimes a Friday evening will work. Will keep everyone posted.
Welp, tomorrow I head to SE Indiana for work for the week and I’ll be home just in time for the opener on Sunday. I was able to check a couple cameras today. I like our odds! Obviously big bucks are nice but I’ve said it for a while that does win the contest. If we can all smack a doe and get 4-5 nice bucks down we’ll be in it for sure. I just can’t wait to get out. I’ve been checking the weather pretty regularly and if it stays true I might try to set up on the big 8 the first few days of the season. I Agree with you Mitch the contest is won by killing does. If most of us can kill a doe and at least half of us kill a buck, well definitely by in the running of winning this.
