I haven't put a tape to him , I'm thinking #60 give or take an inch or two. As soon as I can I'll put a tape to him and post up in the score card thread. Antlers still at butchers. ( friend house)
Congrats Mud, good shooting!! I’m going to hunt tonight and then score my deer when I get home and get him entered. I’ve been running around like crazy since I shot him. I was sitting down to do it Sunday evening about dark and my BIL called me asking for help to track a buck he shot. Ended up backing out at the property line after about 300 yards. We went in yesterday morning around 10 after getting permission to enter the property, scoured the swamp on that property, and every other nook and cranny. On a last ditch effort I said let’s go to the road and work backwards along the creek that runs though the neighboring property, sure enough about 80 yards from the road I saw tines underneath the bank/log jam. He ended up going roughly 650 yards. Got very lucky on this one. It’s a deer we said we were going to pass on this pass on this particular property but I’m just glad that we found him and he didn’t go to waste. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'll be in a blind overlooking a scrape tomorrow. It's on a trail that comes from a pond and bedding area out to the ag fields. It's in the 1 opening in very thick bedding area. I'll be in from 1000 til dark. Hoping to catch a mid day cruiser buck!
