Yes sir he will do, big congrats Randy! He’s a hell of a deer for sure and you’re a bigger man that I am for passing him even once.

    @Ranbo

Please say you have another pic for the scorecard with you, the deer and bow in it.

    What a freaking stud.

    Congrats on a awesome buck.

I wouldn't have passed up the first time either.
Glad you were able to get a second chance at him.

If you don't have a second Different pic with the deer , you and your bow. I know you said about it's all on film. That will due in stead of the 2 different pics with you, deer and bow.

    Nevermind, again, deleted last post.

You're good on the 2 pics. Took me a while to see they are indeed two different pics, second as thumbnail had me perplexed.

In the stand at 1630 hours
    First noise at 1830 hours
    Thought it was a squirrel
    Saw white at 1845 hours
    Thought it was a opossum
    Opossum jumps log…not a opossum
    Doe at 35 yards…heavy timber
A left would take her to me
A right would be towards never seen again land
She simply froze up & walked the same route she used to get there
    Grrrrrr

I'm guessing you're probably going to have to wait for the video to drop to get the whole story.

    Is his entry under scrutiny?

Been a whole lot of weirdness since I posted in LFTS thread last night.

Alright so its a long story and ultimately i will have a complete video to explain it all but for now I’ll give you the short version. I first saw this buck on Sunday afternoon at 40 yards, in the woods walking up toward my cornfield. The next day i had the same wind and decided to get up on the food on top of the ridge where my sent would blow off a steep drop. As i was setting up camera gear a nice 160 class buck walks toward me from 100 yards away. The is the buck i passed last year and Justin wouldn’t let me live it down. He was high 140s then and it’s also on film from this same spot. He ducks down into the woods at 60 yards and disappears. A little while goes by and i look over my shoulder to see the buck i that i would eventually shoot standing at the edge of the corn feeding at 30 yards. His rack looked busted on one side and i just wasn’t sure i wanted to shoot him like that. He walked by at 18 yards broadside, also on film. I get home watch the footage and realize what a moron i am. This deer was clearly old and the break happened in velvet because it was mushroomed. I cannot tell you how many people told me i was nuts. The next day which was last night i has the exact same wind and conditions as the day before. I went to the same stand and said to myself if lightning strikes twice, this is meant to be. Some does come out and feed and i notice they keep looking back. Low and behold there he is at 30 yards again but facing me. I make my moves very slowly any time he would look away. Finally after 10 minutes of feeding on corn he gets to 28 yards but he turns to go into the corn. I actually was able to range find him which was a first for me as i range find immediately when i get set up. I thought its now or never i can’t let him go in this corn and chance it. I let her rip and shot hits a little low and a little forward. He kicks and i see the arrow pass through. He runs toward my stand and stops for a second. I can see blood pouring out and it looked good. I did not hear him crash but did hear some sticks break. I wait an hour and check the arrow. The nock and fletchings are missing but blood all the way up the arrow. I follow blood for 30 yards and back out. Blood was what you guys saw in pics, lots of it and some bubbles. I call Tom Alford and he meets me at the truck. We decide to go after him. It has now been about 2 hours since the shot. We follow the blood and its pitch black out. Tommy shines his light up ahead and sees a head up with glowing eyes so we back out. The deer was around 80 yards from impact at this point and didn’t try to get up and leave. We go eat Culver's and come back two hours later. Tommy was confident he saw the deer bobbing its head around and losing consciousness. He was also adamant that if we left the deer overnight, the coyotes would get him. We went back in and I didn’t see his eyes but Tommy spotted the white belly. Upon field dressing i found my nock and fletchings in the deer, still lit up by the way. It turns out i hit him in the low lungs. The rest is history. Crazy night and i was exhausted. I didn’t get home until 2:30am. I could have left a lot of this out but i want everyone to know the truth in its purist form. Ultimately, i look like an idiot from passing the deer the first time. I also could have left out the part about walking up on him alive and just came back and said yep the shot was good i smoked him and he was probably dead hours ago but when in doubt back out. It’s a lot to take in but it is fun to share it with all of you. Good luck and I will be on the hunt for a bonus buck!
