Good luck Ridge! I’m in the stand but with a smoke pole tonight. Sorry guys. Big 8 has been in and out. I’m not worried about taking doe with bow, I should be able to do that easy. Only have one buck tag left Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Oh man, I’m at a loss for words as I type this. Idk what happened or what went wrong. What I know to be the biggest buck on the farm with two of other bigger bucks on the farm are coming straight to me with 15 mins of daylight left. He stops, quartering to me hard. I put the crosshairs on his shoulder cause he’s looking right at me at this point. I pull the trigger. Smoke everywhere. See him take off barreling, stop, then takes off again up the ridge towards the field. No blood, no hair or nothing. I went to last place I saw him and nothing. I have no idea how I missed this deer. I shot my muzzleloader before I went today and it was dead on. I’m truly at a loss for words. Idk what happened. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I think my best chance of the year to kill a buck is likely going to be tomorrow based on conditions and a number of other factors that I believe will be in my favor - the timing just seems to make the most sense based on what I have been seeing. I'm going to go hunt my 2 best stands and just see how things play out.
Good luck buddy, get one. Not giving up, heading back in tonight. Taking my bow with me. I’m just way more confident in my ability with a bow then a muzzleloader. I hate muzzleloaders. I had multiple does at 5 yards last night and two big bucks at 30 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
They are rutting hard here and they was in there everywhere last night. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well I smoked a doe this evening. I think she was quartering toward me more then I thought. The entrance was right behind the front leg and a bit low. I got to watch her with my binocs for 20 minutes after I shot her. The arrow is dripping with dark red blood so I'm pretty sure its liver hit. I'll look for her in the morning. Wish me luck!
You got her! Can't wait for pics in the morning. Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I'm in the blind this morning looking for does in this spot. Bucks cruise here too, but odds are pretty slim on seeing a shooter buck here. Anything is possible. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
