Ehh.. just a little guilt trip! My wife asked when I'm going coyote hunting with my buddy Don. Should be soon enough, probably after Thanksgiving at my moms.

Hopefully everyone is planning for a good weekend. Mine is crazy, work today, off tomorrow, training Sunday, court Monday and back to a "normal" schedule just before Thanksgiving. I woke up this morning and there was snow on the ground! It was all gone by the time I got home, but it's that time. My lighted nocks came in the mail today! So, I might take my bow into town for training and hit the range for a little shooting Sunday afternoon.

Oh, and I'm not getting that job. The candidate that they are offering it to is experienced in our computer system, our plant and in planning. From what my General Supervisor told me, he plans on retiring soon, so he's more or less coming on to get me trained up for the job. Silver linings, right?

Hopefully the rut action makes it easier to put a big boy down!

Didn't see a deer yesterday afternoon...getting ready right now to head back out before it starting pouring. If it just rains lightly then I plan on sticking it out. Good luck to everyone else out in the woods!

Well didn't make it out this morNing. Didn't get home from work till midnight. That's ok though. Winds blowing 30 and they are saying a high of 72 today. Right now I'm planning on all day hunt on Monday then a Wednesday morning hunt.

well guilt got the better of me in the tree.....LOL!!! I sat out till 10ish, feeling so guilty the whole time, I couldn't enjoy the hunt so I climbed down and came in to the house......right now my wife and I are the couch by the fire watching DVR'd Dr. Phil episodes (no no im not joking!) good times....:throw:...LOL!!!!

I DID see a buck this morning. a nice 8 pointer that I told myself I would shoot him next year. big bodied. let him walk right on by! I didn't film him or anything, just let him go like all was well.

Not much doin this morning. Had a little doe come by and hang out for about an hour. Wish she was bigger she offered lots of shots but was only about 80 lb if that.

Thinking about going to eat lunch then MoVing to a different area. Hopefully lunch helps my headache.

Sorry for the annoyed post. Just been a rough season. Too hot and very few deer.

Well, I had a productive Monday. No, I didn't go to work either!! I went to family court as a witness for a co-worker (I was never needed, which I think was good), I got my Grandad's computer all put back together for him (He needed a new disc drive) and am almost ready to launch my church's website! Oh, and my niece was born about an hour ago!

This has to be the most dismal season ever. There is just zero movement anywhere I go. I hunt buck sign, doe sign, food, bedding, travel routes, I rattle, I don't rattle, I use scents, I don't use scents. I don't see deer anywhere but in neighborhoods. I saw a monster 11 pointer and a shooter 8 in the driveway this morning but they were leaving the property. It's just do damn windy. Everyday.
