Had a great weekend, but only got out hunting once. Plan on getting out this Friday and Saturday. May possibly start hunting during the week starting mid next week since it is getting darker earlier and it will be cold enough to let a deer hang over night.

It is getting cold out here. Started to cover the windshield in the night. Definitely wishing I had a late Archery tag right now!!

Going to go try a new farm this morning. Tonight i'm taking my wifes grandpa out to see if he can get a crack at one of the bucks i've been seeing.

OK...this weather is about killing me now. mid 40's and damp each morning, highs upper 50's. Lows dropping into upper 30's next 4-5 days...I'm getting the itch now to be in the woods. The tree colors are popping also. Next two weekends full, but I should be able to sneak out hopefully twice next week during the week.

Just gotta say I really enjoy being part of this team this season. I enjoy reading any update and anxious to when I can post more hunting updates myself. We are getting close to the magical time of year in the Midwest - I sense plenty of deer being checked in on this page in the coming few weeks. Stay safe and shoot straight!

Ok guys, I just got the phone call, I have an interview for the planner's job that I bid on in two weeks. I'm pretty excited.. We also need to win so next year I can give hunting updates going into November, not career updates ;)

Passed another small buck and saw some does and fawns. 12 days until my vacation starts and then some serious hunting begins. Lol!

Thanks Matt. I don't know what is more intimidating at this time, new job/responsibilities possibly or being interviewed by my supervision.

Ended up putting 15hrs in yesterday at work but still managed to get out hunting for a little bit. By the time I got settled in I only had 30 minutes of hunting time left but it was just great being up in the tree on crisp fall afternoon watching the sun set! Also saw a coyote and he got within 10 yards but either heard or saw something so he took off. Planning on heading out for the afternoon hunt shortly. Good luck guys and stay safe!

If anybody tells you a cell tower won't hurt your hunting smack them in the mouth with a closed fist........... A little before 7 this morning I hear a vehicle on the cell tower road I figured it was my cousins boyfriend an thought gosh he's running late but a little while later I smell cigarette smoke an hear voice but I just thought my cousins bf just didn't know how to bowhunt well I get tired of setting in the stand listening to all the squirrel an chipmunk chatter over at my feed so I get down to grab some breakfast an see a white Tahoe parked up on then Hill about know it's not who I thought it was so I asked dad and who drove it an turns out it the cell tower people have been working on it all this week. So now I'm in a different stand an pondering what to do
