I have a buck and a doe tag and plan on filling the doe tag first morning. like I said i dont have anything big on camera from this year but my 7 point from last year made it through and was seen on the same property already this year in velvet. I had him twice at 30 yards but had already filled my buck tag earlier. He was nice last year but i bet hes a stud now. this is him from last year. el greate siete.jpg

My season started the 10th. I'm taking some vacation next week to go out, but I'm done after next weekend.

Hey guys checking in! My name is Travis and I am 38. I have a wonderful wife of 16yrs that allows me to hunt pretty much whenever I want to. I also have three children, two boys 15 and 13 and my little princess is 9. Both my 15 and 13 yr old have gun hunted and shoot deer. Eventually they may take up bowhunting. I live and hunt in WI and our season starts Sept 14th. Just put out my camera two weeks ago and only had one 2.5yr old 8 pointer on it. I have glassed and shined some giants down the road so I know it is just a matter of time before I get some of them on camera. I also put out a camera last Saturday on the farm that my brother works on and it is close to some public land I hunt. In WI we can shoot a buck and doe. Good luck guys and stay safe! I think that Tim is doing a great job of leading so far so he gets my vote and am open to any name.

WI guys what counties are you hunting in? I mostly hunt in Jackson, Eau Claire, Clark and Chippewa counties.

Can everyone on this team get both a buck and doe? I know in the past we've had a few in the contest that were limited to one tag only...

    Buck and a doe here

Didn't say this earlier. I'm in northeast Kansas. We start September 16 and get one either sex tag then up to a few for tags. Honestly don't know the max since I usually just go after one each. Here is a pic of really the only buck I have on cam. This is from early June about 20 yards out the back door. Only seen him one other time since though. So I'm not holding or a lot of hope but you never know.

Team...lets focus on helping Tim here for a bit...since it looks like he will be done before any of us even start.
Tim - you going after Muley or Whitetail? Spot/Stalk or treestand? Still in Velvet?

Let's see. I'm chasing some mules. The one that I was on last weekend was a tall two point still in velvet. And I'm sneaking on 'em. I lost "Two Tall" really cause I went in full pack into some thick trees. But, he was waiting for me when we came back down the mountain, but I was on the other side. I got a couple spots to go check out, and a spotting scope now, so I feel this weekend will bring a buck down.

In another thought, I guess the general consent is me for captain and our name is Double Lung Liquidators. If there are no objections to that, I'll submit that and we can start with the avatar/signature pictures.

I got you checked in. Go ahead and tell us a little about yourself/ your hunting area this year. And yeah, four pages. We've got us an active team this year

Sounds awesome Tim - Good Luck this weekend!!! Would be fitting for the Captain to give his team the early lead with an August buck!

I hope everyone understands to not let this contest pressure or change the way you hunt in any way this season...when I'm on here hoping for the best - I just hope everyone gets what they want out of season. I'll be just as excited to see a teammate post a kill shot of a doe or spike buck as I would a 150inch buck. Have Fun!...and check in often even if just to report that you haven't been out...
