Looks like we had a good weekend. Hope that we have a good week. I'm not against trading numbers.

Hello again. Sorry I haven't been around. I bought an older Jeep thats kind of become a toy so I have been spending a lot of time on the Cherokee forums trying to get some minor things fixed before hunting season rolls in. Anyway my season comes in 1 week from today. Although if it stays this hot here is a good chance I won't be hunting for a bit. I don't hunt when its 100+ out. I do have another really pretty 8 running around but no real regularity. Anyway just checking and wishing everyone luck on their early season hunting. I probably won't get out until the temp goes down. Its not so much the heat getting to me I just hate the idea of shooting one and not being able to find it right away and losing the meat in a matter of a couple hours.

I pulled my card today. No pics of monster. Lots of does and some new fawns. I was a little disappointed though. I think this buck is gonna be a tough one to get close to.

I think that was one of the factors in my season, was the heat. Granted, it was cooler the higher I went, but there was no access to the good canyons and I didn't have the time or resources to overnight hike and hunt. Maybe next year.

whats up guys back to check in with you.. good to see we finally have hunters in the field! Like i said i still have till october 5th 25 days 5 hours and 29 mins till ill be climbing up (have a countdown in my phone haha). But yeah Ive been shooting the bow on the weekends when i come home from school and really getting alot better with my recurve. Its on my bucket list to shoot a deer with a traditional bow, looks like ill definitely knock that one off this season! Good luck to all of you who are out there hammering! ill post again once the season starts rolling or i get any news of bucks from trail cams or spotting..

Hey guys, on a non-hunting note, I'm asking for prayers for my partner at work. He was taken to the hospital this morning. He's doing ok and they are just awaiting the test results. Thanks guys.

He called me about an hour ago. He sounded fine, but he's staying in the hospital overnight. And on top of this, my friend has pissed my wife off and my boss continues to, not so much blame me, but accuse me of not doing my job and hanging him out to dry.

Sorry for the vent. Just needed to kinda push somethings off of my chest. Hopefully we see some whitetails down to help me cure my day to day stresses.

page 2 for the 2nd time today!! come'on boys lets keep us on page one near the top where we belong!!

I had a nice happy birthday today from my 2 favorite bucks, Clockwork AND chunk!! I looked out into the woodline around 615 after dinner and saw clockwork moving along the run, I also saw something bigger behind him moving, CHUNK!!! I finally got to see chunk up close and personal as they both came to my fruit trees 10 yards from my window......they also went to check on the scrape where I have my camera hung so I will pull that card tomorrow!!! chunk is a mature solid 10 pointer...he was very reluctant to step into the open, and only took a few steps and went back into the woodline. I caught it all on my camcorder. I will have to edit it and post it maybe tomorrow. great way to end the day for me!!!!!

lol ya that's always a slap in the junk...especially if it's deep in the woods!

just went back out to it to check....didn't trigger when I walked by. I put 8 new energizer batteries in it and it fired right up and triggered right away. im pretty sure it was my photo lithium batteries, for some reason it does not like them at all..so back to regular energizers!!!
