no....I have 3. lol!!! BUT my son and I talked today, and we both agreed, we can shoot any buck we want, but only take ONE of those big two, leaving the other big one for either him or I. we also have a younger basket 8 i'd like to see him next year, and a tall tall spike running around directly out back. and there are more bucks on the far edge of the property deeper in the swamps, but im staying out of there till the rut.

sorry guys havent posted in a while school has been overwhelming just starting back up and all. Got one pic of a shooter from my favorite stand last week, seemed to just be working the draw as i expected. The picture was horrible one of the classic wild game innovations white outs but i could still make out a decent rack in the background. I took my camera out of there to let it cool down until the season which is still over a month away. Ive got two stands that i know will produce a buck so my scouting this year is just about over. Now all i have to do is wait, which is much harder than it sounds!

Sounds good. I know my wife and sister in law are in full school swing and my oldest two had their first day today. I am definitely making the late season my first choice next year!

Yep I'm taking Friday off work an heading up to the mountains. Don't know what will happen but I'm kinda excited for some reason even though I didn't have nothing good on camera.

Hey guys. Sorry for not checking in. I was out of town all weekend with no internet and the shop has been really busy! I would love to still be on the team if that is at all possible. Again sorry for the delay!

I did second guess myself, but that's because I never went scouting. Big mistake on my part. Definitely might have changed this season. Oh well, live and learn right?

I moved 2 stands Monday one is for late season hunting though the other I didn't mind moving mom an dad were cutting trees nearby so the deer don't pay no mind to them since they live there so figured it was a good opportunity to move it.

lol ok good,,,,as long as im not alone with that!!

just saw clockwork in the woodline....walking the same trail I walked back and forth on a few hours ago in my "genius treestand move" it did work out though..right beside that pine I was in, is a beautiful straight tree, awesome for my climber.

just gave all my hunting clothes a scent free bath, scent free dryer spin, and 2 fresh earth scent wafers goin in the scentlok bag!!

NOW im getting pumped......lol I could really scream right now im so excited!! 10 days......10.......or 9 days and a wake up!!!

I second guess all my stands. I'm waiting for a stand to be delivered and I'm wondering if I should have even ordered it because I use my climber so much. The anxiety is killing me. I'm also debating whether I should check my trail cams again or just leave them out there till after the season starts.

Last year I took my cameras down once the season started I kinda like doing that just because you get to imagine what's out there. This year I'm leaving the one up at my mineral/feeding site because I like the pictures plus I don't hunt over the site I set my stands in areas where I think there using to go to an from the spot. Figured I like to eat in peace so the animals should too

It's not deer, but I had a buddy offer some coyote hunting on his ranch whenever I'm up to it. I figure I'll wait a few weeks and get everyone settled into their school routine and then maybe load the Bear up and go get some!

Hope you guys are doing good. Hope your pre-season preps go smooth and the anticipation doesn't kill you. I'll be whitetail hunting vicariously through you guys.

Now you guys got me all excited...might be Oct 4th before I get out...but love seeing everyone fired up and some seasons coming in soon so we can get some live reports and hopefully some success photos!

It sure is easy to over think it sometime...one of my favorite methods once I've hunted a property a few years, either on a map, or mentally usually, just mark every place you have seen deer (and shooter bucks) and their direction of travel. As you overlay those multiple encounters...you start to get the picture real quickly on where a stand needs to be (obviously downwind side). Its the reason many of my stands do not move now - and even my climber on public ground is on same trees each year. A lot of steep wooded terrain here so deer follow those natural contours years in and year out.

Stay Safe everyone - Shoot Straight!
