I haven't been out since I found #2. Got some fresh snow last week and I had/have fishing tournaments next couple weekends. I am hoping to make it out for a couple hours this Sunday morning though if all goes well. Been seeing herds of deer whenever I am driving place to place and have seen very few antlers. Either our buck/doe pop. is way off (which it is) or they are shedding pretty good already.
Still haven't been out. Might get to head out next week or possibly this weekend. A high of 21 this Saturday doesn't sound that bad if it isn't windy.
Made it out last night finally made it to my trail cameras, had about five different buck still holding at Jan 31 was last buck picture. Won't be looking there for a couple weeks IF the snow melts some it's about knee deep.
Went out and walked around a bit out of boredom. Snow is deep and didn't see any sheds. New rub that is nice. That's about it. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk
Weather is finally making a turn for the better and getting out of the below zero constant temps here in MN this weekend. I will finally be getting back out and most likely spending all of either Saturday or Sunday or both shed hunting.
Weather was looking good for next week :S 2-3" snow tonight and 3-5 Monday man enough already.. Sent from my USCCHTC-PC93100 using Tapatalk
Our snow just melted yesterday and today. Pulled a card today from a camera and had one buck still with antlers and one without.
Agreed...post pics or you suck, lol. Haha, good job...hopefully we have some laying about but I mowed off about 10 acres yesterday and didn't find a single antler. All I got out of the deal was seeing a lot of rabbits and a bad bearing in the bush hog, lol.
Well I just got back from driving around the fields with the 4 wheeler and I didn't find any sheds...again. I did find a deer head with antlers on it. Looks like it was a yearling 8 pointer...probably a coyote kill from the looks of it....shame. It's old, probably from last winter as it was completely grown over with fescue.
Sweet, both sides off the same deer! That's cool, I've rarely ever found both sides before...once in a great while.
This is my first year really looking so it's my first matched set which was pretty exciting for me. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
I've got I think, four sets...two of them are maybe the best in the collection. Every time I find matched pairs they are laying within a few feet of each other, one set...both antlers were laying at the base of a sprout the deer knocked them off rubbing a sprout, I always guessed they must itch.
