Thank you. I’ll get the score and proper photos submitted to the scorecard for the 50 pts tonight. Here’s one taken last night after I got him out of the creek.
There are two certain things to be said about our team: 1) we heal well, and 2) we sure know how to kill bucks!
Well it was a really slow weekend for me. In 3 sits I saw a whopping 1 deer and there wasn’t much moving on cameras either. We’ve got the rifle season next weekend, hopefully some of the big guys hide and stick around.
Well Kansas petered out for me no doe this year. So now the mission is one of my six tags here In Louisiana is a doe for the team.
You got this, Russ! If it were easy, they wouldn't call it "hunting". We are a team. We need everyone to do their best, and that is all any of us can ask. Okay, we can demand that you have fun! Have fun, Brother! Nine is Fine! I am sure He has a plan for us. If nothing else, we have become brothers of the string... be proud. As Dori said, "just keep swimming!"
Well fellas thought I’d give you an update. I’m healing well and can walk and move a lot better. Still a decent amount of pain but it’s manageable. Doing PT 3 times a week and that’s been super helpful. I should get my mouth unwired this Wednesday. Also will get XRays of my back and see how the spinal fusion is healing. If I can get the pin out of my finger in December I should be able to drive soon after. I’m down to only taking Oxy once a day before bed. So there’s a chance I could get out with a crossbow by end of December and January. Got a lot of action on my trail cams. Been enjoying seeing your updates!
That all sounds encouraging. I pray it continues to go well for you Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Man, I wish there was a big heart Sticker instead of just the "like" button. Way to go, Travis! Heal well!
I hope everyone is out hunting and enjoying the weekend. Best of Luck! I am leaving for Tennessee on Monday night. I hope to be in a tree by Tuesday night. I am looking forward to several days of hunting bliss...
Good luck. I’m doe and coyote hunting with the bushmaster this weekend. Probably my last weekend of hunting for the season. My wife is 8 months pregnant. She’s just getting too close to be 3 hours away. I may sneak out to some public for archery late season but we will see if that comes to fruition. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well folks. I spent the entire weekend in multiple stands to only have seen one deer's hind end. That is likely it for me. Wife is having braxton hicks contractions, which seems quite early in comparison to her pregnancy with our son. If the timeline stays the anticipated course, there is the chance I sneak out to local public land for an archery doe. I won't be heading back to Scott County the rest of the season. I'll be monitoring the team and scoreboard just to stay connected. Otherwise, have a great rest of the season. Put some doe on the board.
Well work is caught up and hunting is back in order from Kansas trip. They are finally moving in the day light and the temp are down to low 40s morning and evening. Time to fill my Louisiana tags.
Happy Thanksgiving fellas. Get the pin out of my finger next Friday and then soon after I hope my season can resume!
