I've tried several times to shoot with both eyes open and just can't get used to it. Can't get everything in focus. I'll give it a try every once in awhile but for now I'm a one eye guy!

Had a heck of a time with my bow these past few days. Went to the local indoor range (I live in an apartment and yes I shoot inside but I can only shoot 10 yards in my place) to check my sights and made a slight adjustment for windage. Sights are pretty much on at 10 and 25 (1st and 2nd pins) and my 30 yard pin is on but my groups are sloppy - probably 5-6 inches. They had been better - probably 3 or 4 inches so I was slightly worried about that but I'm still confident I'll do fine in the field.

So anyway, I'm just about done shooting at the range and one of my limbsavers flies off! The rubber separated from the plastic base. I have solid limbs so the limbsavers are the glue/stick on type. The one that flew off had been on about 10 years so I figure I got my moneys worth. Buy a new set right there at the shop and go home to put the new ones on.

I get the new ones on and take about 20 shots and notice some serving came undone on one of the cables. So I pull out my box-o-archery stuff and re-serve that section and get tightened up and looking good. Take some more shots and one of the new limbsavers flies off again! Seriously it seems like everything is falling apart 3 days before the season! I grab some crazy glue and glue it back on. After about an hour to dry it seems to be holding. One thing I noticed is the new limbsavers are much better than what I had on there. They're slightly different and have some grooves in them but I didn't think they'd perform any better. I'm amazed that a slight change in the design of this little piece of rubber can make such a difference with sound and vibration.

Anyways that was my weekend  Hopefully everything holds together Friday morning.

    So Slider...
You're gonna' be flingin' arrows, serving, and limb dampeners at the deer? I'd give a million bucks to see that!!!:poke:

Well I figure when I try to actually take a shot on something, the entire bow will just explode into a dozen pieces and while the deer is standing there laughing at me, i'll have 12 pieces of my broken bow to throw at 'em!

Opener is tomorrow morning!! I'm feeling confident something will be on the ground! Hopefully I'll be able to do some live updates. Gonna be a warm afternoon but the morning hunt shouldn't get higher than 75 degrees.
