    Hahaha........ :D
I'm getting there! This week has been ROUGH! Getting caught up on work and trying to figure out when I'm supposed to be sleeping. I'm still sleep deprived!
Just about there, a weekend of shooting and football should have me back to normal. (That's if I wake up tomorrow! ;) )

A weekend of shooting and football should fix anything. I'd say that is a good plan.

Checked and move some cameras today. Still no bucks. I moved two of them and set a mock scrape up so I guess we will see. Pretty disappointed but still looking forward to the season in 2 weeks. Plots are coming up nice and the does are around so always a plus.

Well, just so happens my Uncle knows a guy in Tulsa that came up with a new kind of deer bait and I am one of the first ones to try it out. The bait comes in what looks kinda like large gum drops, and the premise behind them is to place a few of them behind trees so that the deer's head will be behind the tree, but the vitals will be clear so that you can draw the bow back without spooking deer. I'll be doing a write up about and let you guys know how it goes, I'm interested myself, and maybe if it works I'll start selling it and making some commission lol

Had Kathi out in the backyard today practicing......first time ever shooting the crossbow. So glad she's a natural! ;)
Offhand 20 yard group, I'd say the deer are in deep doo doo.

Can't hunt Sundays in MD but I still gotta keep myself busy! Might hang this later today and check out a tree for a morning hunt this week.

    GREAT shooting Kathi... :hail:

Anybody shoot SlickTricks (RazorTricks) on the team besides me? I'm telling you - these heads shoot dead-on! I've effectively added 10 yards to my range with these heads.

Better than the semi-glossy black it was before :)

Just a reminder to everyone. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE 2 PICTURES OF YOUR KILL!!!!! Im seeing some on the scorecard already that don't have two. It will NOT count. Its not that difficult to take two pictures.

The before picture didn't seem to have much of a shine to it. Did you paint it for that reason and was it that big of a difference?

The plastic had a sort of satin-finish shine - not super glossy but noticeable to me. Also, I've found that the cams really stand out if they're just black - I can pick them up pretty easily from a distance. I didn't want to go nuts with the stenciling because that can stand out too. Just wanted to make it less black, more olive/brown.

I hung the cam this afternoon on the semi-public land I hunt so we'll see if its there later this week lol. Actually wound up walking in and walking right up to a doe about 20 yards away. Wind was perfectly in my face and she was facing away feeding about 6 feet lower than me next to the stream. Didn't even hear me come up because of the wind & brush noise. Figures that would happen on a Sunday

I crouched down and made a "wheeze" and she took off. I'd rather she think it was another deer blowing at something instead of smelling/seeing me.

Oh well - two days or so and i'll be back out!

One of the guys on the lease just sent me this picture from his camera. I zoomed in & he appears to have a split right brow tine. I would love to get a good look at this buck during the season.
