This is how we do it......! Really dont know what to say about this evening. Went out right after school with two buddies. Had a double blind set with 2 camera angles. About 6:20 Dylan gets my attention and says there is a turkey about 200yds heading our way. When he gets to about 175 he sees the DSDs and starts towards us on a string. After crossing the fence he comes in and spurs the jake decoy, Ruben. He then stands there for about 1:20 starring at the decoys head. After this he raised his head, I settled my pin, and well......below is the outcome! This is my first bird in two years with my bow and my first bird with a Bullhead. Will get him entered tomorow, 21lbs, 1" spurs, and a 8.5" and 5" beard!
It was a mid-low neck shot. Missed a complete decap by less than an inch. Broadhead blades are getting sharpened and will hopefully be used tonight! Filmed a friend take a tom this morning with a bullhead at 30yds
Thats great, dont forget lifetime warranty on them they will replace no questions asked! The package say just furrels but they will replace blades too.
Congrats Metzger! My season opened up yesterday, haven't been out with a bow though. Got some great pictures of longbeards though with my trail cams on 2 different properties, so the outlook is good. Me and a buddy called one in 3 times today but he wouldnt come out of the brush. Took some short video. Im gonna be out the next 3 days.
I know it dont count for the contest but our youth season starts tomorrow morning. My friend and I are taking my son and a friend of his out in the am. We are heading down to camp after school today. Will be fun one way or the other, I'll post pics tomorrow afternoon.
Not a bow kill and has nothing to do with this contest but here is my sons first turkey what a morning!
