here is a pic. hit her little back of the shoulder and drop right in her tracks. First time for that for me but seen it a couple times on T.V. I will take that tracking job all day long.

Well, got all my new Gray Wolf Woolens gear in and am ready to get this season underway!!!!!!

 

Few pics... stuck in the office now till Saturday. Had a monster run through yesterday morning before shooting light. He was a newbie. Never seen him before, shot in the dark, literally cause it was dark haha but he looked like a 160+ inch deer

 

Lookin good guys, good job on the does ! our opener is on the 28th so I have a few more days to get ready, got back in the states safe and sound a few days ago. Ready to get in the stand! Got a few pictures as well, these guys arent huge, but it's a good sign, havent even been to the other properties.

 

Here are two pics of #1 on my hit list. Ignore the dates, this is actually about the middle of June. My camera has been screwing up and resetting back to 1/1 sometimes. Hope this guy comes around during season.

My season doesn't open till Oct. 1. I'm thinking both those pics are of the same buck. I don't have any pics of him after that, which is the same thing that happened last year. He basically disappears between June/July and the rut. I need to figure out where he's going, but I'm pretty sure he's walking the creek during that time because it's a lot more shallow into late summer. One of my stands can see both the area where the trail camera was, and also can see the creek. He had walked up the creek bed last summer because it was completely dry, but I couldn't get a shot at him with where he was. I've cleared out some branches and will hopefully put an arrow through him this season.

How are we doing in the woods. Sam, you see any of those nice bucks from your stand? I have been out 4 times and have yet to see a deer from the stand. I did see a nice buck right near my house on the ride home last evening from hunting. I was pretty psyched to see him so close to the house and so soon after dark. That lets me hope he is bedding real close. Going to check some cams after the pats finish up with the bucs.
