Its bad that he chased off the deer but that is pretty dang cool to be able to sit and watch a bobcat.

Yeah, it was pretty neat. I watched him scarf down a cardinal too, he sat in my food plot and ate it. I'm gonna take an airsoft gun with me and shoot him in the butt to try and get him to bug out, throwing sticks at him didn't work, He's fearless!

Well I am heading down to our place in Indiana this weekend to spread some fertilizer on my plots and check my cameras for the last time before the season starts. My first hunt in Indiana will be the second weekend of Oct. I figured I would get out of IL for the youth season that weekend.
I will be in the woods here in IL opening weekend but with all the corn up not sure how it is going to go.

Also bow update. Talked to the Bowtech warranty department and they are sending me everything but the riser so new cams, limbs, bearings, string. Should be in tommorrow and I should have my bow back by Tuesday with plenty of time to fling a bunch of arrows to get her broke in enough for the season to start.

Well Pastorandrew got us on the board did anybody else have any luck this weekend? or did you finish up some last minute prep work before the season starts?

I went down and spread some urea on my prots and hung one last stand. here is an update on my plots I planted labor day weekend

I am really happy with the first two but this third one just didn't want to grow. I think part of the problem was this soil on this hill top drains fast and we havn't had much rain since the day after I planted.

Had an encounter with a beautiful 140's 10pt last weekend but just out of range. This is the third time we have seen him in daylight so he is very kill able.

I know some of the guys on the team aren't very chatty and thats fine but could you at least check in every once in a while to let us know if your ready for your season to start maybe post a trail cam pic or once the season starts let us know if you have a good encounter or something.

Just something to let us know you still plan on contributing points.
