Hunted one of my favorite stands for the 1st time tonight and saw a monstrous track 15 yards from my stand.... Very very recent... I had my trail cams along and was planing on hanging them anyway, hopefully I'll get some decent pics. Wasn't able to get them placed exactly where I wanted them, but with any luck it will be good enough...

Put one over my perennial mock scrape and then one in-between the trees and corn - we'll see...

Well boy's got a doe this morning. Not much to tell. Last night my buddy shot a doe and we couldn't find her so this morning I told him I would help him out but I would hunt until 8. 7:25 she walked in and I smoked her. No tracking involed. We also found his doe.

Got the word last night I'm heading for the big woods of Northern Wisconsin mid to late next week. The guy who is taking me was up there last weekend and saw an absolute monster I'm going to say how big because I don't want to jinx myself but if I smoke him you guy's will hear me from my tree stand.:D

I'm heading out by my house tomorrow night I should have a perfect wind and a front coming in.:D saturday when I was in that stand I rattled in a Slammer and if it wasn't for the neighbors I would have hit paydirt:mad: That's it for now.

How's everyone else's bucks coming along?

I'll be glad when they get the corn out from my hunting area. Not seeing a whole lot of deer this year.

Went up to my old hunting grounds for a few days with some friends and had allot of fun. Seen allot of Deer but no Shooters in range. When we got back I said Im going to the hot spot to get my Buck in the morning. Got the stand, sun came up and deer all around.Small bucks chasing Does and bumping heads it was great. Later I seen the one Im after coming down the ditch line. He ended up going around me just out of range. I got down a couple hours later and was walking back when down at the other end of the field at the other side of the land he pops out of the tree line. I jumped in to the tree line to see what he was going to do. He got the middle of the beans turned and was coming my way but way to far out. He was coming along then turned and was walking right at me. Im on the ground, no cover but a small apple tree Im next to and here he comes. He walked on a angle and ended up 20 yards down from me and crossed in. I knew he would take the trail on the other side of the tree line i just hoped it was my way. Sure enough here he comes. I draw and my peep was a little off so I gave it a nose bump and just then he stepped out. I forgot to say I had to turn around too. Any way I just happen to look down and a little branch from a scrub bush was between my string so I moved right fast and was on his shoulder and let it go. The spot I was going to shoot at was clear but I had to move a bit right due to the little limb and didn't notice the same type of bush between him and me with a couple small branches right where I shot.It was all due to being hasty. I knew I had little time to get the shot off before he was covered again BUT hast caused me to look Past that little branch and caused a bad shot. I should have said Crap and let him go by and let down. I hit one and the arrow pushed up and I gave him a hair cut across the shoulders. Im glad it didn't grease him or hurt him but Man was I BUMMED!!!!!!!!! Better then 10 years with out a miss and this happens to the Buck I was after.:( Gun season starts Sunday. Im still hunting with my Bow. I may take the gun out the last couple days of gun season if Im not lucky to get some meat.
I'll talk to you guys soon.
    GOOD LUCK!!!!!
CONGRATS to all you guys that got one!!!!!!!!!

    Congrat's Jason.Great looking deer.

Just got back this morning it was a great hunt but I came up empty. If anyone wants to know what happened PM me and I'll tell you. It was rough and the weather sucked but I did learn some stuff.

By the way I'm not done yet.
