Whooo hoooo! Last night i got a steal of a deal and thought that I would share. My wife and I went to Gander Mountain to shop for a new ground blind. I did my homework and found that Double Bull makes some great blinds. I have used an Ameristep for years and love it but it has seen better days. Anyway I get there and and see the blind set up. On the blind it says $199.00. To my surprise that is $200 cheaper then it should be. Normal retail on that blind is $399 So we bring it up to the counter and have to go through the manager, but I ended up getting the blind for $199.00! It ended up being the Crusher Double Bull Blind.

But besides that I cant wait for season to open here in WI. I am hunting with my wife this weekend from the double bull and I am the camera man! Will be her 2nd year hunting and hopefully her first deer down. Wish us luck!

    Ty

Just thought I would share what I got on camera last night. This is the stand that me and the wife are going to be hunting this weekend. I have been watching this deer for 4 years now.

Less than 2 weeks until the opener now and I am chomping at the bit to get out there. Made a last minute switch to Rage 2 blades, been wanting to try them and figured no time like the present. As long as the practice heads fly like the real deals I'm golden.

I'm really hoping this next week brings an end to the 90 degree temps, this summer has been insane and doesn't seem to want to give up yet. The one good thing is we are getting in some high 40 to low 50 degree nights intermittently, so Fall is on the way. Just hope it makes an appearance on the morning of Oct. 1st.

Seeing a lot of corn fields already chisel plowed, the excitement couldn't be any higher.

It's been blazin hot here too all summer cls. Supposed to be in the 90's again this week. Our season goes til January though so still plenty of time. I've used the 2 blade rage the last two years and both does only went about 30-40 yards and piled up for a nice easy tracking job :)

I hunted some public land yesterday and got skunked. It got pretty hot quickly yesterday with the high getting to 92 by lunch. I used my new LW Alpha Hang-On for the first time yesterday as well. Got to admit I really liked the stand.

    That's awesome, Congrats!!

Update on my hunting schedule I won't be back in the woods until Oct. 1. I have purchased a camera mount and about to pull the trigger on a Kodak PlaySport to do a little amateur video of my hunt. Hopefully I will have it by then and can start recording on the 1st.

Awesome news about the 8 point. Congrats to her.

I'm still waiting on the 1st to get here. I'm hopefully going to get out on the 1st, I'm calling a doe down by 8am. After that it may be a week or two before I get back out. I have my current bow sold after opening weekend and a new Bear Attack on the way. Shouldn't have too much down time if any though. Going to get meat back in the freezer first opportunity and then let the temps cool off as I'm pretty much stuck with all day sits if I want to hunt morning and evenings same day.

Hey guys, havn't posted in awhile. I'm waiting on Oct. 2nd to get here but I probablly won't do alot of hunting on my better properties till late October.

I was just out on one of my properties moving a ladder stand and the sign is there. I found more scrapes than I have ever saw this early in the year. I havn't had any signs of anything bigger than a 80" 8 point on this property but it usually holds atleast one good P&Y buck per year so I am not giving up hope on that property yet.

Congrats to the guys who have scored already, that is awesome!
