Bow season is open! One shot with a old fashioned muzzy 3 blade and one with a field point 60 yards. Those muzzy ones made my arrow about twice as loud in flight so that’s not gona work. Couldn’t believe how well the old muzzys flew never had em hit like that. It’s gona be a good year I think. Got my bad luck out of the way falling out the tree lol View attachment 97503 Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Oh ****, that would spook me a bit. Mainly because you can’t tell how big he is, but he’s not small.. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting .com Forums
He's a big dude. Hopefully I get a pic of his head when I check next week. I missed my chance at a OK bear tag (stupid law we have where you have to buy it before bow season starts, even though I have a lifetime License). If he's still around during ML season I'll grab one of those tags.
Congrats fellas. Cold front coming in Friday-Sunday. Temps dropping 40 degrees. I’ll be in a tree Saturday for the morning and eve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks like Saturday morning will be the first time I get in a stand. I'll have my little mini killer in the stand with me. He'll be trying to get his first deer with a bow. Anything is fair game for him.
Just got a text from the neighbor on the other side from where that double droptine was photographed that he was seen in the afternoon shortly before sundown. The neighbor was out tending sheep and had him at about 50 yards for several seconds. He's a rifle hunter though and wished me luck!
Hung one more stand ahead of the cold front. Still no bucks on camera but we’ve got about 7,234,233 doe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was hot for the opener!!! I didn’t go out as it was high 80s and humid.... Friday is my day off and the high will be 53, lows in the 40s Congrats Kyle!!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Headed out tomorrow night and possibly Friday morning for a hunt. My goal is to take my time, get set up smoothly, and enjoy the colder weather. And if the Lord sends a deer my way, that’ll be cool too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Me and you are of the same mindset, but I pry won’t be hunting in the am Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It’s finally starting to cool off a little here. Monday is the big cool day. I could go sit and shoot a doe at any time. I’m debating on staying out of my lease until the bucks show up. Last year was around October 20th. We’ll see how it goes when the front works all the way through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I work tonight so I'll be out tomorrow evening...its not gonna help the team any but I'll be after another doe. Need to stock up lol but with the front who knows what can happen. Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
My buddy sent me these pics. I’ve been trying to get one for the last year or so. They are coming in daylight so hopefully Saturday morning is the day I get one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I seen one tonight, shoulda known better. I was planning on going into a thick oak stand and as I drove up I noticed they had picked half the corn field today. I almost went and tried to find a spot to set up in that. Instead I stuck to script and what I knew. There was a nice doe 100 yards from the truck when I came out of the woods and could still see in the open. Anyone have a climbing stand to sell me? Lol there are good trees everywhere where and I think I might be able to do that I hate being on the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
