Yeah got to have someone who understands how to use those top hats and limb deflection, else they just chase that bullet hole.
Look great but can a request a slight update? Need Cooperhead changed to CopperHead Or you can send me the base image and I can update. Either way is good. Thank you sir.
Food plot after about a week of growth and another pic of Seven. Just getting the Vertix fine tuned and season will be here Saturday. Still have one more plot to plant in Virginia. Bring on the cooler temps!
Thanks man! The private land I hunt is over 2 hours from where I bought my house. I was having trouble getting help when I could myself get up there so I got impatient and tried to move a 20’ ladder stand on my own. All I needed was someone to hold the bottom. Well I got to the top and tried get a strap over a limb and the bottom gave and stand tipped and down I went. Just stupid. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I was wondering if you even caught it or not haha. I wasn't going to say anything Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Awful man. Sure you wont do that again though lol hopefully it doesn't hurt your season bud. Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Dangit man! I've hung a bunch of those ladders by myself and was always afraid of this. I guess I better quit doing that. Glad you wasn't hurt worse.
That's a nice buck! Hopefully you stick an arrow in him. It's going to be hot here for at least another two weeks. I'm over it.
Aw man sorry to hear about that. I completely get it though because I find myself moving stands by myself a lot. Just a pain to get everyone scheduled. But in the future here is what I would do if you find yourself in that situation. Before running the ladder up the tree attach a rope to each side of the stand that wraps around the tree. Once you have the ladder up the tree, jump on the bottom rung to seat it in the dirt. Next I take a ratchet strap and connect to the bottom of one leg run it around the tree and connect to the other leg. Adjust till its snug and leave it be. Then I grab the ropes that hang down from the top of the stand and wrap around the tree and tie to the ladder. Make sure both are secured. Thats should hold it until you can get up there to put on the main strap to secure it. I then remove the strap at the bottom and leave the rest in place. Hope you feel better soon.
Great idea. I set a lot of double stands for friends and family and this would help tremendously. Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Anyone ever shoot 3D. Me and some buddies shot this morning. We shot from the 40plus yard marker. I shot decent at first but kinda fell off towards the end. Still a fun morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've shot 3D since I was probably 5 lol i love it man. I usually shoot them all summer long. Going to one the 21st actually. Week before Ohio opener every year they have one that the whole family goes to every year. Good shooting man! Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I use to shoot 3D all year long but I kinda got away from it due to lack of ranges in my area. We found a new one a month or so ago. So we've been going every week getting ready for season.
I mainly shoot at a state park that has like 15 targets or so and my shop has a 30 target range. Theres a couple clubs around that have shoots too. I got first place at one. Shoot this summer and third at two others. So placed everytime with my hunting rig haha. Was a good year for me. Thought about buying a 3D bow for next year but the wife wants me to chill out on so many hobbies Sent from my LML212VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
